Making progress. I've taken out some of my piano black trim for real carbon fiber trim pieces. I was really tired of that open pore carbon stuff. More to come...
Looking to work a deal for forum members interested.

Wow the interior CF pieces are awesome - those aren't OEM are they?

Car is really getting some nice subtle changes - you need to take some more photos soon.

Thanks guys! Looking to get the dash pieces to finish it off. Not OEM, Dinmann carbon. I'd love to get a group buy going!

Much better than the plastic-style OEM carbon, this really looks real carbon like the M4, Amgs etc.

I love how we all like different things For me for example, I love the open pore carbon CF but you are doing an awesome job individualizing your car!

+1 I just love the new look of clean modern open pore CF.

My M6GC was full of OEM shiny laquered CF which looked a bit dated interior wise - and needed constant cleaning and polishing out of hairline scratches.

Anyway - each to their own - that's what makes forums so varied

I've been asking a few of the other folks who had the OG M2 - but how are the new seats and more specifically the seating height?

Curious if the new seats go a bit lower than the OG. Thanks!

Hop in an m4 and you'll see how the seats are, they are identical. They are comfy and I would call them not overwhelmingly supportive. The side bolsters don't get narrow enough for someone 6' and 170lbs. But they are comfy. Seat height? I don't notice any discernable difference. I have a sunroof and have no headroom issues, so they might be a tick lower. I set my seat all the way down in every car I own. Prior gen m3s have had less headroom.

My SO and I define seat comfort differently. He thinks the seats aren't comfortable because they aren't heavily cushioned and poofy when he first sits down. I define it by how they feel after being in them for a while. I dropped him off at the airport at the end of October and got stuck in traffic for two and a half hours afterwards. I got out of the car with near-zero seat fatigue. These seats are very nearly the best I've had in a car.

I too think these seats are fantastic; a really nice combination of securing the occupant in place versus comfort. My main critical comment is that the bolsters could increase their range of squeeze a bit tighter.

I flew to Chicago to pickup the M2C and then drove it almost 1000 miles over two days. I was amazed at how long stints behind the wheel were not debilitating on my lower back and thighs. Part of this is the excellent range of travel of the steering wheel which compared to my E90 M3 allows for a lot of extra rearward placement, resulting in an super comfortable driving position in the M2C. However, the seat padding/support in the M2C is outstanding.

Sweet!

And were you all good with the seat height?

It's fine for me (5'11" or so, not very wide human). I think seat height is a really person-to-person thing. Someone my height with a different, um, aspect ratio might have a different opinion...or someone with different leg to torso proportions.

Definitely, but I have the slicktop also so maximum headroom. I'm 6'2" and tall in the torso, so sunroof cars can be an issue especially with a helmet on. There is tons of room in the M2C slicktop for me with the seat down all the way...a noticeable amount more than in my E90 M3 slicktop. I'd love to have these seats in that car too.

I'm 5'11", but with a very long torso. I've been right up to the roof in other m3s with sunroofs. No issues in this car, about 2" of clearance, but I do have the seat all the way down. If you're very tall, better go without the sunroof
If you're really asking a different question, this car is a 2 series, it's not a Porsche. You sit well above the ground. It's a sports coupe, not a sports car.

Cool, thanks. I was just trying to get a sense of the seating height. I'm hoping it's similar to my f80 which was perfect, and not like my f30 which floated much higher.

I'm with you. You can't judge a seat until you've driven in it for a couple of hours with no break. I've only ever had two cars with near perfects seats. In my WRX I ripped out the god awful pain inducing Spanish Inquisition Torquemada designed standard seats and replaced them with $5000 Recaros. The M2C seats are almost as good as those seats. No pain at all. They are very very good.

Bolted up snows on 437s. Wheels are clean, but the car isn't! Love the way the calipers are more visible with these wheels. Just need some pop, perhaps need to paint them red!

More carbon trim and Performance steering wheel to come.
