Obviously lots of opinions here - the fact is, in the US, we don't get our choice of wheels and that is a shame.

To me, the new wheels make the M2 look "frumpy" and much less sporty. But like I said, to me.

In my book the 763M wheels win hands down. But give them a silver/grey finish.

Interesting to see the comments as I never appreciated the 437M's design in both the OG M2 and even in my previous M4 which came with them. I just find the 437M lacking in street presence and makes M cars look kind of ordinary.

The black/silver 788M wheels that comes with the M2 are actually quite nice for me, much better in person vs photos.

But when I saw a M3/M4 with the Competition Package's 666M wheels on a public display, I thought it was altogether a different new car. Very beautiful but I don't think I'd go for 20" wheels on the smaller M2 platform.

Where do these silver 763M wheels come from? I only ever seem to see the gold or the black ones officially offered for sale. Are these custom repaints?

Those 763M wheels got treated.

Ask forum fellow Poiseuille (those are his wheels).

they were powder-coated from OEM black. depending on where you live it costs ~$500 to do that.

I believe you can the get the 763's in orbit grey. I think they're for the M4cs and they come in 20"s for the rear and 19"s in front....from what I recall they're way more expensive than the "regular" 763.

Look very dated IMO.
Dated is a relative term. If the "dated" ones look better than the ones they come with then who cares. The "modern" ones look like they should be on an alpina and don't fit the vehicle.

763M M4 CS vs 'M Performance' 763M: same design, but different size and finish.

Don't purchase the 763M M4 CS (Orbit Grey) for your M2 / M2C without first ensuring that those fit 'plug & play' (thus without rolling the fenders) the M2. To fit or not to fit: mixed opinions on the forum. AFAIK I have not seen yet a stock M2 / M2C featuring the 763M M4 CS. No such risk with the the 'M Performance' 763M: those fit the M2.

Beware: Orbit Grey looks pretty dark in overcast lighting conditions (picture below: OEM black 763M wheels that got powder coated in Orbit Grey finish):

I have a set of black 763M's with Cup 2's on their way to me. I've seen them already on a few HS cars on this forum and think they look fantastic as they are so I won't be powder coating then 👍🏻

437s are nice wheels, but the 5 spokes style is too typical. Mesh wheels have always a BMW original looks, mesh wheels are always my favorite on BMWs, so in this case 788 suits the M2C way better than 437s!! My 2 cents!

Most people I speak to prefer the 437M.
Is your car lowered? Is so what suspension did you use?

I understand it's completely subjective but I actually like the 788M wheels. I've only had the car for one day and wanted the wheels in black. But it was a dealer build with the bi-color wheels. I think the contrast with HS looks really good. But the bi-color seems much more high maintenance to keep clean.

To me the 437M's look ok and not amazing but that's just me.

It's stock actually! Might just be the angle/lighting for the photo. The 437M might have a different wheel width changing the look a bit. Attached another that might show the look more accurately. Apologies for the bad edit.

I wish I had the black 788Ms as well but I like the 437Ms just as much.

I didn't really like the 788 wheels until I picked up my car last week and saw them in person. I think they look great in person. I'll probably still replace with the 763M at some point, but I can live with them for a while.

Completely agree. If I can't get silver/grey I'll take the matte black, but holding out that they'll offer that color at some point. Not a fan of gold.

Does that includes un-mounting and re-mounting the tires? I'm assuming that's required for powder coating?

Man looks great, Thanks for the response. I was considering dumping my 16' M3 for one. Still on the fence.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I'm starting to like the look of the bi-color 788Ms. Just my opinion but the bi-color seems to go well with Hockenheim Silver. The black 788Ms look really good with Alpine White.
