M2C USA Winter tires experience
Hi,
Just wanted to share what I did for winters on my M2 Competition. I did a lot of research and figured out that a square setup is about 200$ cheaper than replicating the 245/265 summers, + I can rotate them. So I went 255 all around. Got the: 255/35R-19 PIRELLI WINTER SOTTOZERO SERIE II XL for 1000. Installation was extra 130. I used the ASAP guys tirerack recommends. They came to my office and did it all during lunch. Bring on the snow! Here's a few pics. |

Looks good, I'd probably have gotten a 2nd set of wheels and mounted 245 square on them, but this does work. The tire selection is a lot better, too. The Sottozero II are not bad but they are very old at this point, they were replaced several years by the Sottozero 3.
Love the LBB and silver 788s though. |

Sottozero 3 were a few hundred extra. Just bought a house so I'm super cheap. |

Update:
They scrape up front. 255 is maybe a bit too wide |
