Engine mounts

Anyone tried this before?

https://www.akgmotorsport.com/produc...or-mounts-f22/

Seems like a good addition to track prep.

I continue to be impressed by the OEM upgrades you find.

That is awesome. Can't wait to see your results. Very very interested to see how much reinforcement it provides.

Great find Bee Pee! 75D mounts would probably be too harsh for normal driving anyways.

any update, I really wanna hear my engine inside the cabin , AKG will probably be way too harsh, but I have coilovers and RSFB might as well go for AKG.

We had "soft" (probably 70-75D) poly engine and transmission mounts in my old E36 and I loved them--shifts felt crisper and everything just felt tighter. That said, you don't really "hear the engine" so much as "everything in the cabin vibrates." Most annoyingly, the rear view mirror vibrated quite a bit (though IIRC, stopped around 4k RPM). And if you've got spare change in a cupholder, it'll drive you crazy.

+1
I had solid motor mounts in my sti and it would rattle my teeth from all the vibrations, imo you really don't benefit too much from motor mounts unless your stick ones are absolutely shot. But transmission mounts can make things feel alot better in terms of response in shifts, it made my buddies 15 wrx shifter feel heaps better.

Confirmed that 22118416823 fits. When ordering make sure you are getting a pair as the item number is technical for a single ring only. Shifting is definitely more solid and you get rid of that 1/2 second hesitation from the engine when it is winding up. However, there is significant increase in vibrations under 1k RPM. You will hear a lot of rattles going over rough roads and idle. You will feel the vibrations all the way to your seat.
