Can you spill the beans ? Or are you embargoed to tell us everything featuring on the options list ?
Some forum fellows over here are eager to 'configure' their M2.

No there's no option for this, what astonished me also. It will be standard xenon with optional high beam assist. The high beam assist will be a newer version, much more reliable as the first ones.
I have never been a friend of these assistant systems, but my dealer convinced me of the new one, which is different in many ways from the previous one.
There's also an option for the rear camera, which I,disn't order.
I can confirm Ryki's post that only rear parking sensors will be available, no front ones

For a bit of contrast, I like the gray 437's on MG and Black. Black 437's on White and Blue. Kinda sucks if everyone'll be rollin on the same stock wheels.

Thanks SO much for this. It aligns with the rumors. I really was hoping for LED headlights but it's not a deal breaker.

Let us know of any updates! Thanks again.

You're welcome 😀
I ordered DCT as it will be my everyday car and the option to drive in automatic modus is interesting for me while in the traffic jams in Luxembourg😩.
I was astonished about the few options proposed, together with quite many standard useful equiment. It's almost like when the 1M was released, which might be an indication that there will not be many of these M2. But I may be wrong on this....time will show us. Anyhow, I am glad the order is placed and look forward to getting this car and its 370 HP. Guess it will be fun to drive. Yet another 8 months to wait now😣

Maybe I missed an update somewhere, but based on that timing it would seem that North American cars probably won't be arriving until May-June 2016?

Mine is officiallymordered since monday Jul 27th. Don't care if it will be the first, but should be among those.
Here are some of the one I ordered : 1H92 M2 Coupé ( that's the official name of he car)
B39 Mineralgrau (one of the 4 colours )
LCNL Leather Dakota Schwarz with blue stiching
2MK M DKG Drivelogic
420 Black teinted rear windows
459 Power seats incl. Memory function (Standard)
494 Heated front seats (standard)
5AC High Beam Assist
524 Adaptive Headlights
609 Navigation System Pro ( Standard)
674 Harman-Kardon sound system
7UU Warranty Extension to 5 years

Production week will be Feb 8th 2016
Delivery week will be March 3rd 2016

The car has been officially ordered through my dealer in Belgium and it is officially in the system, thus confirmed😜

I got the information that there will not be many of this M2. Probably more than the former 1M, but couldn't get a confirmation for this. I was informed that the car will be produced over a longer period as the 1M has been, but it will be much more difficult to get one. Don't ask me why😫

Official presentation will be made during the IAA in Frankfurt
More details will follow as I receive them.💪
I guess this also confirms that the M2 will just have the same seats as the M235i.That would be the only reason why the car would have Dokata leather.

I'm genuinely surprised that no one else is a bit underwhelmed.

It's hard to get excited when there are so few exterior color options, a single interior option, a single rim option, and no carbon roof or guaranteed M seat as in the f80 and f82.

The very idea of owning an M car, which has long been a dream of mine, almost seems more appealing to me in theory than actually spending what will be close to 60k for this car.

If it doesn't lease well, I would be very inclined to get an f80.

Looks like they really have decided to market the car exactly the same way as the 1M,with very limited options.I really wasn't expecting that many options but I was still hoping that the M2 would have a carbon fiber roof. The only other thing that I would have liked would be for the seats to be in a soft leather like Nappa.I really like the Nappa seats in my E46 M3.

Here's the thing, most of us who are in love with the idea of the limited option M2 are hoping that you get the F80. We want you to get it.

Disappointed, not at all surprised on them using m235 seats. Odd choice making nav standard and using bargain bin unsupportive seats. I'd easily trade the nav for better seats.

Let's see what the price is. Cutting out a lot of the higher end equipment it seems like. Price should be low to reflect that.

For me, looks like a used cayman s or gts is in the cards, but we will see. Sounds like info is starting to flow now
