If your going to wrap it why go for such a bland colour, not really a fan of matte finishes such as this and the BMW 'frozen' colours.
Would much prefer to see something bold such as the gorgeous Birch green gloss colour on the CS individual in a previous thread etc., each to their own though.

BMW’s current Design Director Adrian van Hooydonk was the right hand man of the last Design Director, Chris Bangle.

There’s been no one in between them. Adrian is Chris’s successor. So if you want to credit someone else for the F87 you’d have to go back to 2009 and credit Chris.

Has BMW bled designers and managers in that time? Yes. Of course they have. All companies do. But all designs (yes, even the F87 and G8X) have been under the watchful eye of Adrian. The same guy who gave us the Bangle Butt.

The myth of the single design genius is just that, a myth. No one individual person or group of people are going to sink or make BMW. Design direction is systemic. I’d bet a billion dollars that at least 1 of the designers (there were probably dozens of variations) who riffed on/proposed massive kidneys is a Sr. and has been at BMW for more than 10 years.

Lastly, everyone freaked out about the M2Cs joined grill. Then you accepted it. BMW was watching. You gave them the inch and they took a foot. Long live gigantic kidneys.

I saw a M4 in real life today. Didn't hate it. I can see some positives. Also saw a M440i in person on the street and while I'm not a big fan my wife loved it. I did prefer the inherent beauty of Karim Habib's designs before he left more than the current designs of the 4 series, 2 series gran coupe and iX. But it's not to say other buyers and drivers have different tastes that are more in line with BMW's current design direction. I'll wait to be convinced, it's my cash so I'm all good holding out to spend it on designs I love.

My M2CS I believe has the same color. It is called Matte Gray Aluminium.
