Apparently. A friend with an '08 M3 nearly lost his brakes at CMP. He did get the car woah'd and safely back in. Found a dust seal cracked.

Hey guys, not sure it's worthy of it's own thread but does anyone have any insight on if the following wheels will fit my OG M2:
Front: 18x10 et25 - 265/35/18 18x11 et 44 - 285/30/18 I'm running the m-performance coilovers currently (which reduce inner clearance) and alignment is roughly -2.5/-2 camber. I'm thinking it will be aggressive and require more camber and/or spacer, but is it a complete no go or has anyone had any success with a fitment like this? |

I would take a look at Apex Race Parts M2 Fitment Guide as a starting point

Staggered is going to be faster, but squared will generally cost less as you can rotate. I chose the latter, there are no trophies for the DEs I go to.... Not that I'm even close to any of the fastest times lol

Good weekend at COTA—didn't see many M2s though. HS Comp on Saturday and I think just me and a black Comp on Sunday. Pretty happy checking off boxes:
✅ Hit the 2:30s with a 2:36 on day 1 ✅ Ran solo ✅ Bumped to advanced I already found speed too so I think I can cut that 2:36 down a little. Sunday just didn't provide optimal track conditions to do it in. |

The first session of Sunday saw an ACR spin coming out of T12, and on the third session, a C8 unfortunately hit the inside barrier at the exit of T11 . You hate to see it. 2:36.22 lap And day 2 / session 2 (I had moved my camera mount between days and didn't want to fiddle with it so no session 1). |

On the data / telemetry topic, here's another easy option for DE days. I've been using a GoPro Hero5 Black with its built in GPS and g-meter for video and data. One click on and off on track, so no fiddling trying to get multiple devices to connect over Bluetooth. And great video quality. For analysis, I use Race Technology data analysis app that's specifically built for the GoPro file format. Let's me compare laps, watch side by side video of two laps in the same corner, play with data traces etc. Analysis is as simple as downloading the session video from GoPro and opening it in the RT application on a laptop.
Sample lap from Portland Int'l last month |

How often are you guys changing differential oil on 10-20 days tracked m2c?
I'm planning to change mine at the end of season, car has 12k km on it right now. Anyone use the redline or motul alternatives? |

I'm registered for COTA in 2 weeks with Edge Addicts. Is anyone else planning on attending?
Also thinking about going ahead and signing up for May. I'd like to branch out and drive somewhere else this year—maybe HHR if I can find a friend. ECR or MSR Cresson would be good too. |
