Questions on "production date"...

1. The car door plate usually has month/year for production, correct?
2. And the dealer can see the week that production was completed, correct?

So how can one really know what the production date itself was? For purpose of interest, or for that rod bearing recall on 10/23, or for any other purpose?

Your dealer should be able to tell you. I was worried if mine had the injector recall as it was built in Week 42 (which is the period of recall), luckily it was 10/15 production date - a day after the formal recall ended. phew.
