I just had a dealer email me with a hey, call me if you want an M2, we can order it today for you.

LBB, executive package and DCT(i have a bad left knee)



I will have it in about 4 months. I guess its like waiting for a tax stamp for fun toys.

As you can tell from my user name, i use to have a 2000 M roadster, so it should be a fun toy for me

Congrats. Are you in the US, and was it a new allocation they just got? 2016 or 2017 Year?

I doubt many folks on this board know about tax stamp waits.

That's interesting. I expected the next allocations to be 2017 cars. 4 months would be August.

Some dealers are late on getting HEA cars so that could be it too.

If he's in the USA 4m would sound right for MY 16. If you figure it starts production in May or June it would then ship and get here in July time frame. So he could be catching the end of MY 16 build.

I am interested to see if BMW will increase pricing on MY 17. This was in part my rationale for getting a HEA car now as opposed to waiting and trying to do ED. I figured between the more generous maintenance package and a possible price increase I would be better off doing HEA.

I had a 2000 Z3, but not the M Roadster. The M Roadster was such a great car! One of my favorite ever. Congrats on the M2!

I am going to guess you have a good relationship with that dealer. I wish one would send me that email. Congrats. Your spec is identical to mine but I am just in the order bank waiting on a production number.
