I came across this recently.
It mentioned a 30-minutes race sponsored by BMW with 50 legends of the racing world all driving a 365 hp M2CSR. BMW is calling it "BMW M Race of Legends". It will take place just before the endurance race at Nurburgring Nordschleife. https://au.motorsport.com/endurance/...g-24/10303651/

For those looking for an M2CSR Cup, I will likely be selling my second car within the next month or so as we look to move to the new M4 GT4.
The second car is brand new and still requires full break-in. Feel free to DM me if interested. |

For a reference, I sold mine for $150,000 and that included some spares. 2 sets of wheels and new brakes in box. 3,000 kilometers ish, never even one tire off.
It was the easiest sale I've ever made and it sold in a few days. I wish it well in it's WRL life. So now of course I'm modifying my street car a little so I can take it to the track and have some fun

17k miles!! is that a typo?
This thing is due for a new engine at 35k kilometers. Pretty sure that's what my manual says. JR III racing is legit. Great collection of modern and classic BMW race cars. Gonna be a tough sale with 4k miles left until engine replacement is recommended.

Unless they meant 17hrs of run time. 17k miles on track is a lot of track time.
Edit: I just asked. It's 17k miles |

Its an endurance car. That doesn’t take long to rack that mileage up at 3000 miles per event

That CSR is down to 129.5k. wonder how much an engine rebuild would be? I'm thinking you'd have to get this car in the low 11Xs to be a good deal. 20k? For cost to pull, rebuild, and install? 8m not buying, but I'm curious.

You order a new engine from BMW NA Motorsports and install. Maybe $25k?

A new short block is $22k before any dealer discounts. Sound add labor and anything else that's has "timed" out in the car, I'd say $25-$30k minimum. And who knows what the chassis is like after that much use. Racing miles are like dog years!

If this car was bought by a lapping day enthusiast, that schedule would probably be more optional.

Hi everyone,
I have a couple of questions about m2 csr. The brake booster part is only for m2csr how does it differ from the m2 cs? and I have seen the m2csr has 2 bottles for brake fluid why? what is the reason? |

2nd question ; the second brake fluid bottle is for extra capacity needed during enduro events as the brake pads wear down. This is especially true when running with thicker pads. The standard OE bottle is just too small.

Hey, can anyone here post further information about the m2csr dampers? Found a set for sale that is very intriguing. I know that they are 1 way adjustable, does this adjust both rebound and compression? Anyone have idea of the spring rates or any more information?
Thanks. |

Front spring rates range from 180N/mm to 220N/mm and rear 170N/mm to 210N/mm. Both have helper springs.
