8 for sale down here at the moment. That is nearly 10% of them.

Probably a combination of people that buy cars on finance and overstretched themselves along with trying to pay their ever increasing mortgage (we don’t have eternal fixed rates like the US, that is crazy on so many levels).

And people that bought into a concept that didn’t suit them. That is they like the image of a driver’s car but want the smooth ride, no fuss and creature comforts that the G series delivers.

Wow, no fixed mortgage rates? That has to occasionally sting.

I still keep eyeing aston martins. A used vanquish S volante. That vantage AMR is nice!

They are usually fixed for 3 or 4 years. My poor old brother got hit for an extra $3000 a month. Lots and lots of people in the same boat. The US concept of 20+ year fixed is also not great as it means people will just not move so no houses for sale. I’m just bloody lucky that I don’t have a mortgage.

I keep eyeing more Aston Martins too. Haha. Vanqish S volante would be a wonderful addition to the garage. But that would mean I’d have to sell the CS as I only have two garage spaces. I just can’t do that.

The 2 car garage was the issue for us. I wanted a manual and the wife didn’t like the DCT. The 992 T manual has now been confirmed for mid next year so we’ll switch to a G81 and 911 garage. If we had space for a third, we would have kept the M2 CS.

That’s kind of the point of these cars… IYKYK. Arguably an indication that it’ll age well

This would look good next to your CS. A perfect pairing.

Exactly. I can't decide if I'm being too picky by going for an S. You can have a non S for significantly less money. Performance isn't really the pursuit with the vanquish, so does it really matter when you're enjoying that top down fun? I don't think the vanquish is done depreciating though.

The S is the one. But the older ones are still great. The infotainment is so much better plus 8 speed, more power, better handling. But you are probably right that doesn’t really matter for top down cruising.

Here’s one for you. What a thing. I reckon $150k+.

I did keep the M2 CS and added the 911 T this month. Both manual cars, very different and fun in their own way. I nearly traded the M2 in but decided not to. I will see how much I am continuing to drive it with the 911 next to it…..

As someone that also just picked up a 911 T I’d love to get your take on it vs the M2CS.

It’s not too late, I think I spy your car for sale at a dealer currently. And cheap, too, in the grand scheme of things.

I have storage, if you don’t mind it being interstate 😁

I’m eyeing one, is there anything in specific to look for on CS model when doing a pre buy inspection? Or just regular stuff?

Not really other than the roof delamination issue that few CS had.

There were several cases.

First with the weave , which isnt anything to worry about , imo each M2 CS roof is unique !

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1765570

Next , a fellow bimmerpost member had this issue with diformity.

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1819852

And finally the delamination of the roof.
I know 5 cases with this problem.

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1898496

If i was to guess what and why this happened , its probably because the laminate on the M2 CS roofs wasnt probably dried and with the combination of those people living in areas that temperatures are mostly low , and the driving behaviour/track use the roof which is part of its chassis was bended and the air got between and created these “white spots”
