Risk of debris between caliper & 18" wheels

Hello everyone, I have the base blue calipers on my OG M2. I ordered a set of 18" Apex SM-10 for dedicated track/auto cross use. I have heard with the smaller 18" wheel the risk of getting debris stuck between the caliper and wheel is higher which makes sense to me. Just curious on what everyone's real world experience is on this, is it still pretty unlikely to happen? or it happens all the time sort of thing. My autocross venue has a decent amount of gravel, nothing crazy and gets cleared by runs as the day progress but definitely not a pristine racetrack or runway. I'm considering maybe just running my stock 19" 437M wheels and only use the 18" SM-10 for track use if it is common for debris to get stuck on 18" set ups. Thanks!

Can't speak specifically about the SM10, but I ran 18" Bimmerworld TA5R's all winter without any issues.

I would say you have NO risk with the SM-10 because Apex wheels are designed to give extra barrel clearance for BBK's. You could ask Geirsen at Apex, but I'm pretty sure I'm correct on this one.
