This was awesome. I wish they would have used a DCT for the CS for an apples to apples comparison but other than that great video!

Crazy how it spins all through 1st and 2nd and possibly a chirp into 3rd. Quite unrealistic to win from a dig with a manual.

But that green color on the CS though. Only saw it on IG but am i right saying it's a 1 of 1 individual color for the CS ?

No, it's a wrap. It's Chris Harris' old car. When they show the engine you can see the Misano Blue and what I think is Chris Harris' signature on the carbon strut brace.

It's a wrap - you can see the Misano Blue colour in the engine bay.

I think their m2 competition is quite modded. Weird for them no not mention it. But it was on obvious looking at the engine bay and exhaust note and ride height.

Wish they had a real tire on the CS like mine has to see how it would rocket out of the hole. What a difference now that mine can stick the power!

Shame about the molestation on the CS and Comp. It would be so much more interesting without the dodgy mods. Still fun though.

Also that dodgy green wrap is horrible. Looks like someone glued garbage bags to it.

I wouldn't necessarily call them dodgy lol. The CS has the Bilstein kit that's bespoke by Litchfield with their springs and possibly revalved too. It's a fairly popular kit but overall it is stiff. Not sure what settings they had the EDC for the race though, wonder if it was comfort. Akra exhaust is not my number 1 preference on the s55 but still a pretty solid option. Is this CS not Chris Harris' old car?

despite who the new owner now on that green CS, the F87 CS just jumped major brownie points as the desired car to own among all M2 enthusiast and possibly a jump in value as well thanks to the video.

I wasn't too thrilled on the drag race because whoever gets out of the whole quicker usually wins. But it's actually the rolling race between the G87 surprised me the most as the F87 CS kept pulling even after the half mile.

It doesn’t seem to be able to go over bumps. Maybe some sort of race track setup.

I’m very impressed how the the standard CS setup copes with bumps versus the M2C I had earlier. That used to get bounced off the line quite easily on rough stuff. CS copes well. There will always be legends in their own lunchtime thinking they have a better solution though and a line of suckers waiting to “improve” their car.

Those were quite irrelevant mods in regards to performance. What is relevant, though, is that is was using rain tires, which are terrible for launching and braking. I'm even surprised it had grip during the rolling race, were probably veeery warm.

Not that it would have changed the outcome, but just doesn't make sense.

There are better suspensions than the AS from the M2CS. I mean the AS from the M3 and M4 isn't even that good. It's not about being legends, it's about not making compromises like BMW has to do.
Of course lots of people do stuff just to get lower that cost you performance, but that's a different story.

There is a thread over in the G87 forum talking about this. It had been said in that thread that the CS was tuned, that is why it pulled in the roll race. According to the CH video, his car just had the Litchfield bilsteins and a wrap.

Fully agree with you fellas. A manual car can't compete with the others when racing from a standstill. The best drivers in the world can't make up for launch control.

80 years hence and we're still interested in drag races? Seriously, who gives a crap? These cars were meant to be driven at speed, not for red light challenges.
