BMW Darien - M2 CS

Hi all,

Thinking about purchasing this HS M2CS from BMW Darien: M2 CS

Anyone have experience with them or seen the car in person? Planning to drive 2.5 hours from PA to trade the M3 CS for it. The previous thread has me a little anxious about the condition of these cars.

Thanks in advance!

I would say, do PPI, run your own autocheck for the car history. Make sure everything checks out.

Ask for the car to be CPO for added peace of mind. Car looks good on pics.

Looks clean indeed. About as clean as one can say in pics. Definitely a plus that it's a single owner. Agreed with others, push for either cpo or ppi, especially if you can't inspect it yourself in person with the car on a lift. Good luck, always nice to welcome a new fellow CS owner. I think I might just keep this car forever. Thinking I might snag another M car as my daily and park the CS in the garage for the occasional drive only

I don't have any experience with that dealership but i just wanted to throw it out there that I have no regrets whatsoever in selling my M3cs and moved onto the M2cs over 2 years ago.

You're probably be the 2nd one i'd know to have moved on from the M3cs. Good luck with your search.

Thank you everyone for your input. A fellow member that is local to the dealership is checking out the car for me. Much appreciated!

Glad to know that! Gorgeous SMB M3 CS (although I am biased if you can't tell by the profile pic)! I personally thought the M2 CS was going to experience the massive depreciation that the M3 and M4 CS had when they initially came out and was planning to purchase one afterwards. But...it never happened, and then COVID sent the entire market into a volatile state. Happy to know you're enjoying it and not regretting the purchase. I hope to hold onto this for as long as possible!

i think that was just a combination of poor marketing from BMW as the M4 GTS also suffered the same. No one was interested in buying an F80 M3 or F82 M4 for over $100k when there are other better cars for that price. They were also not moving from dealer's lot.

I was able to snag my M3cs for 21% off msrp. In 2019, the buyers had the leverage to how much they want to spend on a special model. Market condition price adjustment. I just happen to be at the right place at the right time and offered what i thought to be a lowball offer and was surprised dealer even accepted.
