[QUOTE=whats77inaname;19747726]If they are pre-production car, yes, they will get crushed. Happens all the time.
https://www.yahoo.com/autos/bp/bmw-c...194553996.html http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/...s-get-crushed/ This story especially sucked..... http://autoweek.com/article/car-news...n-dodge-vipers[/QUOTE Why not keep them for BMW track events instead? Or sell them in South America? |

Press cars aren't crushed. After the press junkets are over BMW reconditions the cars at corporate and dealers are given the opportunity to purchase them. My first 335i sport sedan (2008) was a press car that I was able to lease as new from the dealer. The car had 4k miles on it. I remember he had a few 3 series, 5 series and a couple of 7 series including a B7. They were all press cars purchased form corporate.
Chances are the only time a press car would be crushed is if it is damaged beyond reasonable repair or structural integrity is compromised |

Cool post, well thought out!
I was pretty sure I've READ in the recent past Texans were among the highest in vehicular related deaths - on average. So I did a little more READING and it seems like you guys are out of control. Texas Vehicular fatalities per 100k of population 13.12 vs the national average of 10.25 New Jersey Vehicular fatalities per 100k of population 6.22 vs the national average of 10.25 Thanks for Bush though, he was great!! It's actually the car they used for the IIHS 40 MPH small overlap crash test. BMW must be making their fenders really strong now! Problem is the headlights were so bad the test dummy never even saw it coming.
