Larger brake pedal.

So. Has anyone with a DCT replaced the very teeny tiny stock brake pedal with a larger pedal?

My friend with a 235 has a very large brake pedal. Apparently it is way better for left foot braking. Yes, he’s an amazing driver and uses it to great effect. And loves to make fun of my tiny pedal. What were BMW thinking?

I’ve been left foot braking quite a bit recently and it gives such great car control. But my pedal is tiny.

Has anyone switched to a larger pedal? Is the 235 pedal plug and play? Are there better options?

This was one of the first mods I did 3 years ago & a ‘must do’ imo.
The stock manual brake pedal should never have been fitted to the dct F87 imo as its almost impossible to left foot brake with (I wouldn’t track my car until i’d replaced it).
This is a simple mod & I have no idea why those with a dct car are not doing this, the benefits are obvious on track & it’s even beneficial when driving on road.
I posted this mod on here in back 2020 if you search for it but it’s a no brainer.
From memory I used an F3X series pedal, simple plug & play (2 or 3 bolts & the loom plug).

Like Tornado1M said very worthy upgrade and an easy swap. I left foot brake in everything I drive when not having to manipulate a clutch pedal at that time - definitely prefer it over right foot braking (even for everyday driving on the street). The wider pedal definitely makes it more comfortable for me.

Not sure the differences and which one fits the CS.

They both work. the -797 part is just the newer version.

Assuming this is just the steel cover for the pedal, and not the pedal itself?
