For maybe 10 minutes.

I actually really liked how I felt on there. I didn’t mind it, but granted it was for a short bit of time. I’ve been reading the nine t forums quite a bit and it seems like every owner just “gets used to it” and loves it or ends up being okay with it because it’s not the main method of transport.

I think it could fit pretty well.

Good luck! I'm completely jealous and really hope you can get the bike and make it work for you. Post pics if you do.

My bad back screamed "What the F are you doing to me?!" when I rode one. Only way I'm making it work for me is if someone invents a time machine so i can go back to my 20s.

I currently ride a KTM 1290 Super Adventure S. It’s coming up for 2 years old now, so I’m planning on changing it for a new one next year.

I’ve had loads of GS’s, S1000R, S1000XR, HP2 Megamoto, Triumph Street Triple R, and a few others, but the KTM is the best bike I’ve had, by far.

might as well do it while I can right?

I’m at that point in life still where my need for comfort has not yet surpassed my need to look cool and fantastical. Gonna bank on that being enough

I test rode a couple different variants, and while it looks awesome, it doesn't feel as comfortable to ride and I just didn't care for the sound of it. Throttle is smooth, rides smooth and the handlebars feel like power steering for some reason.

Rode for about 5 years. Been off for nearly 2 years now, and miss it dearly. Very dearly.

I had an 2003 CBR600RR and a 2012 Panigale 1199 S. Very different bikes but enjoyed them both.

I just ordered a full stainless 2 into 1 header and pipe as well as a new intake and an ECU flash for my Moto Guzzi! Very excited. Had to tell someone...

The exhaust shaves about 20 pounds of the bike and sounds like, well, like this:

The RR.... Had I ridden the RR before buying my 848, I would have a RR in my garage instead. Nothing better than being able to push an RR on the track. Some evidence of the fun....

I have other pics of more fun with the rear tire....

I know what you mean. My first RR was a 2012 that was stolen, unfortunately. That was the best bond I ever had with a bike. Operating it was like telepathy.

I replaced it with a 2012 1199s, which while I can admit was stellar when it was time to play, but not as comfortable as the BMW for my daily commuting needs.

With my 2013 HP4, I feel the true bond forming again.... I travelled a lot this year for work, but plan on solidifying the bond next March/April when the weather starts to get better again.

Have you been to the California Supepbike School...?

I took level 1 in 2017 and plan on doing 2 and 3 in 2019

Yes. I lose count of how many years I've been doing it; started when they were running ZX-6Rs. Keith knows me by name and so does Cobie along with a bunch of the riding coaches. I've gotten close with a bunch of them. The pics I've posted (me at the track on the S1000RR and the rear tire pic) are from when I was at CSS at VIR.

Wow, Keith Code is still running that? I remember him teaching when my brother went to the school at Loudon, NH back in the late 80's.

Keith has been focusing on the Level 4 curriculum. It's amazing how many different skill/drills he's come up with for Level 4. It used to be only a laminated 8x11 sheet. Now it's a book of a few pages. About 2 or 3 years ago he was actually on track with us. And he's still stupid fast. Nothing nicer to come off track and have Keith come up to you and give you pointers from what he saw riding behind you.

When I was hanging out with a bunch of the CSS staff, I mentioned I saw Keith coming back from a jog at the Sleep Inn hotel. One of them chimed up saying he probably had a cigarette in his mouth. We all busted out laughing over that one.

As far as running the school, Keith has pretty much handed off the reigns to Dylan.
