This is soooo true.

I've found (having my Lotus in my basement), that if you don't have a time limit (it's not your daily), and you have a comfortable environment, you can do most anything.

Got water in my right pre-LCI tail light (due to my user error when I last replaced a lightbulb and failed to seal it properly). Then when I tried to disassemble the tail light to dry it out, I cracked it.

So I used this as an excuse to upgrade to LCI tail lights.

Turned lemons into lemonade.

How do you “seal it properly”? Is this not a simple turn-pull-change-push-turn? Or has BMW just made that complicated again?

installed the Rennline magnetic phone mount. Not sure it's $40 better than the vent clip from Amazon, but it's August in Texas and I need both vents working, so it is what it is.

One note is that I did apply a bit of 3M double sided tape to the outside edge of the mount, since it's only held in at the top by a single screw, and it was apparent that the mount had a little bit of play that could become annoying when driving due to NVH, or just from repeated removal of the phone from the mount

Bought one! Well, technically I bought it a little over a month ago. Sold my 2011 E92 to get it. Plenty of mods to come, but I did get 20% tint all around.

got these eyelids while i think about getting a lip..

I wanted some carbon in the front for the mean time, and also think its a subtle way to reduce some of the white from the overall aesthetic

Absolutely loved the E92, but the low end torque just wasn't there. The difference between the M2 is night and day. Exhaust note was lovely on the E92 with the M performance, the upper rev range was intoxicating. I have stock on the M2, but my Fabspeed downpipe is on the way. Just basing it off of comments I'll probably be happy with it.

Both are VERY fun to drive, but my extended warranty ran out on the E92 and I know rod bearings and TA's were something I'd have to do down the road. It was an easy decision to move on. Especially after the test drive LOL.
