Pleasantly surprised to see that they included more engine upgrades than I was expecting. I was expecting the crank, but not the pistons. That should help for tuning potential. I'm really curious to hear what reviewers have to say about the character of the engine.

Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but I'm not feeling the design result. It looks a little overdone for my taste. I get that they wanted to make it aggressive, but that front end is just a bit much. I will say this though, it's very obvious that they had to stretch the hell out of the 2-series body work to stick a very wide chassis under there. And at the end of the day, what I'd really care about is how well it goes around corners.

I know its getting kind of tired to say this, but the Mustang GT350 is actually looking a bit more interesting right now (after the release). You've got a similar price point with a far more special engine, and what is looking like a very competent chassis. Wonder if anyone will do a head-to-head?

Seat's lap time is, undoubtedly, an achievement, but that car was wearing Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. For a track the size of the Nurburgring, tire selection makes a big difference in lap times.

Sure was. I had the privilege of driving two track days with a hatch Cupra and was very impressed (I worked for Audi/VW/Seat of Finland). On one of the training days we had a Finnish GT3 cup racer as an instructor and he said he lapped 0.5sec quicker on the track compared to his racing schools' RS5...

On another note, I still love rwd cars and will be drooling over this M2

Looks like a 235 got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction.

I like it but I don't love it.

The car looks good. The only thing I think looks off are those fangs in the front bumper.

Seems a lot of dissension centre on either (biggish) rear bar or (busy) front bar.

IMO it's all about the proportions, depth of the rear bar and the fangs in the front bar are large for a small base car like F2x. They don't look awful just out of proportions for a small car

I'll save my final opinion after a few reviews that include seat time, but I'm underwhelmed.

Please please make it start around $52K CAD - I don't need any options - well maybe a sunroof 'cause I won't track it.
As a fellow canadian I hope your dream comes true regarding price. I certainly doubt it, will likely be around c$60k base.

It's almost like styling is subjective...

Just curious, how do you feel about the rear bumper X6M-esque detailing? I remember the people speculating about the details (not sure if it was you or not) said that it wouldn't have the reflectors since the car is lower than the X6. Are there any details about the styling you were wrong about or don't care for? IND is probably gonna make a killing on color-matched rear reflector covers lol

People complain that its "only" a modified n55 engine. But, besides the higher peak HP, TQ numbers, and tuning potential, I wonder if the engine characteristics have changed, including responsiveness. I.e. will it feel like an M engine? Turbo lag? Etc...

REALLY like it, especially the color LBB. My only two complaints just from pics are the seats and lack of M mirrors. Other than that, I like everything else about it. A lot. I think I will work on some renders and post them in the next day or so. I have some ideas.

I truly never thought a Mustang would be on my short list but the GT350R is on my #1 list right now.... NA and 7:32 around the ring, those are big boy times....

Wow this release hit me like a brick. Wasn't expecting it to be revealed so soon.

With that said, the M2 exceeded all my expectations. We'll see how things turn out a few years from now when my M3 is paid off. Can't wait to find out more about the car!
