+1 if you count all CF bits, roof, hood and wheels its roughly around 12-15k
So that would be around 75k. Unfortunately I think they are going to price it around 85K. JMO

I wouldn't count on that, I'm positive that all 500 US-bound M2 CS will be sold out before they hit these shores..

If there are folks out there that are willing to spend over $400,000 on a Murcielago simply because the doors go up the air; there are more than 500 consumers that would snatch up these radical M2s just because it's exclusive and flooded with carbon fiber.

You guys need to take yourself out of the equation and realized it's a big world out there beyond this forum.

None of those people bought the M3/4 CS.

They wouldn't, they're two different models and demographical demand.

That comparison is becoming so trite, right about now..

Poochie is right. M2 CS has a better chance of success than M3/M4 CS because the M2 has been regarded as the more driver focused M car. More power and less weight in a smaller chassis like an M2 is a winning combination. M4 is just too big. The next M4 will be even bigger.

Another key difference is this one has a manual.. Don't underestimate the passion of the enthusiast market.

It also looks amazing and has Adaptive Suspension that would stick like glue around a track.. #Sold

BMW never releases the US pricing with the debit or announcement. Based on how they roll, I'd expect it closer to January. I prefer how Porsche does things. The full configurator and pricing is usually on their US website within a day of the official announcement.

Assuming $80k, there aren't as many competitors for this as there are for the M3CS. $100k+ gets you a GT4 or loaded cayman GTS, a 911T or lots of great used 911's, and almost an M5. The stretch to a new 991S wasn't far.

At $80k, this car has all the power and performance of the M4CS in a smaller, more nimble package. 80k will buy you a low-spec cayman or out-of-warranty 911S, neither of which will out perform this car. If you want a true performance car (especially with a manual), there just aren't as many options at this price point.

I say this as someone who hasn't quite crossed the mental hurdle of paying 6 figures for a car. "If you can afford $80k you can afford $100k" isn't necessarily true.

I went to the LA Autoshow this morning to see the M2 CS (since I have a reservation), and to get some pricing.

Pricing was just shared with them last night, US base model is $83,600.

I had previously set my ceiling at $80k but it’s so close that I’m moving forward with the purchase anyhow.

Production and Delivery estimates seem unchanged but likely sooner from what they were saying.

Finally! Now did they release any wording on packages? Of course the CCB and DCT will be extra...

Wonder if the alcantra steering wheel will be an option. I really hope so as I prefer the leather one. Only issue I have with the car!

I think only options are the DCT and CCB and paint will be extra if you don't choose white, and tires

Nothing on packages, nor weight. I really liked the seats though, the electronic bolstering is so nice.

Yeah, the seats are the biggest plus in my opinion. Which really shows where my priorities are, not necessary the performance aspect.

Really not a fan of Dakota leather on a $60K vehicle, let alone a $83K vehicle.

The M2 CS features Merino Leather.

Compare with Dakota Leather on the M2 Competition:

Yep, I know, just making the point that the seats are the best part for me

Now that we've gotten most of the worth it/not worth it out of the way. When should we anticipate the driving reviews? Post order books opening or before?
