Beware: Dealer damaging winglets

Please be aware of this.

Today I dropped my car at the dealership after having horn issues and after going to the back and talk about the issue.

I noticed they lifted my car over the carbon fiber winglets ! I was amazed how they didn't took the time to remove the bolts before lifting the car.

I obviously complained and took pictures.

Tomorrow I will pick the car and will see the damage ... according to service manager they are going to replace them.

And I assume potentially replace the rockers that the side skirts are riveted to. It makes you wonder if they would have said anything to you had you not noticed it yourself.

Update

Dealer lied and won't replace them.

Service manager told me they look fine even that it's missing bolts as the crack the bolt area inside !

Called BMW USA and they can't do anything... see pics below

This pictures show how they tried to fix the bolt adding more washers and some glue ...

Both sides are missing 3 bolts in total ... any advise ?

Time to find a new dealership.

I have one 2 miles from my house that I refuse to go to because they pull shit like this.
I drive 25 min out of my way anytime I need service work just to go to the one that I trust.
Hopefully you have another dealer in the area you can go to. Tell these people to go fuck themselves.

You have photos of the incident (possibly GPS coordinates, date and time attributes encoded within the image), names as well as the promissory that they (BMW/Service Manager) would repair any damage incurred to your vehicle due to their negligence.

The key here is to keep a detailed account of everything. Why? Documentation is very difficult to dispute regardless what the service manager claims. Any damage incurred constitutes a replacement. So again, detail everything (exact words used by the service manager and the technician) and take more photos of the damage.

Eventually someone at this dealership will want to correct this egregious mistake.

Since they've obviously compromised the integrity of the side skirts, please be careful driving your vehicle.

Time to go directly to the dealership GM. Explain that if they don't take accountability for their actions, your next call goes to your lawyer. Simple as that.

I appreciate the support. Service manager won't fix the issue.

I will stop by tomorrow and will try to see the GM.

By the way if you are in the Atlanta area don't go to Global Imports

Wow! How come BMW USA can have so much power over dealers regarding the survey scores (dealers want all 10s or nothing) but cannot help a customer for a problem that is apparently dealer's fault? Unbelievable!

The website has an online chat feature for the service dept. About to head there now and voice my disgust with the service manager.

There is but they use the X jacks and they extend to where the winglets are located
