What Size 763M?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Was thinking about getting the 763M for my M2C at delivery. There are the regular 9 inch wide and the 10 inch wide available on the M3. Not looking to be a drift king, I just wanted a super planted feel in the turns.

Does the M3 use the 10 in the rear and 9 in the front?

I don't remember the specs, but CanAutM3 ran slightly wider rubber on his F82 with the 437s, and had good results as well.

I am doing the same thing on my F80's 666Ms.

Although, he has an F82 CS now, so he is probably driving somewhere at the moment.

Correct 9 inch front, 10 inch rear (19" wheels all around).

Only difference is the M3/M4 CS models but it's only in terms of wheel diameter. CS models use 19" front 20" rear 763Ms (However, same with as above. 9" wide front, 10" wide rear).

That's probably the better question, what size rubber in the fronts and backs?

M3/M4 CS has 265/35/19 in the front and 285/30/20 in the rear from the factory.

For M2, I'm planning to do 265/30/19 front and 295/30/19 but if you don't wanna go that wide in the rear you can also do 285/30/19 (not sure if PS4S comes in this size) for the rear.

The 19X9 front and 19X10 rear 763M are intended for the M2. The M3/4 spec 763M are 19X9 and 20X10.

IMO, when choosing tires, it is important to consider for what position (front or rear) and what wheel width they were designed for. Just "going wider" will not necessarily yield the best results.

On my 2015 M4, I used the front 265/35R19 PSS from the AMG-GTS and the rear 295/35R19 PSS of the M5 as both were designed for 9" and 10" wide wheels respectively, a perfect fit for my stock 437M wheels.

I don't believe there is such a perfect fit in the PS4S, so it will have to be some sort of compromise.
