2018 LCI M2 Original seats was on of the reasons I did not want the M2c Seats so I could use the Schroth QuickFit Harness.

Seats are from an M4 and then modified to have Alcantara covering entire back and middle inserts on front - all functionality works (except back lit on logo - they wanted $1,000 to make it work, lol)

Exhaust is MPE plus Fabspeed Sportcat, Wagner Evo Comp II FMIC, FTP Boost/Charge pipes, PURE inlet pipe (just in case turbo swap) + tune

The m4 seats are much better for keeping you still during aggressive driving though.
Respectfully, I disagree. I had the same stock seats (minus the embossed ///M) in my F30. Couldn't STAND those extenders...aka LINT TRAPS. all they were good for was collecting dirt and fluff. I'm 6'2" (188cms) with long-ish legs...never felt I needed leg extensions on the seats...maybe for guys over 6'4"?

I can say that the MSport seats definitely sit lower in the car (M2) than the stock seats and while they are a touch firmer, I don't mind as I have improved the stock suspension with Ohlins R&T Coils, so not as harsh a ride overall when set to street settings. Definitely more snug around the midsection, which I prefer in corners. To each their own though.

Haven't found yet that I need to swap the turbo. I'm FBO, with BM3 stg 2 OTS 93 OCT map and hitting over 400hp. Plenty of power for this car. For now

Nope - LOVE mine! I see no reason to “upgrade” - If you are constantly salty at the next gen car, or any other technology for that matter, you’ll never be happy with what you have. No matter how you look at it, the OG M2 is and will be a great car for a long time to come.

And as far as value, it’s absolutely a more than reasonable price for a car like this...

For those of you who do find comfort and utility in the thigh extenders, but who have come to see the challenge of clothing lint as your own personal Waterloo, may I respectfully suggest these...(they don't light up, and they don't have M logos, but they do offer high performance at a reasonable price and the sound of peeling a fresh sheet is remarkably close to the sound of a certain engine at start-up)

on the other hand I wanted the S55 engine in the M2, but they didn't make that car, and the consensus at the time was that BMW wouldn't ever do that in an M2 unless it was an expensive limited edition because it would make the M4 look bad. Since I wasn't getting a CSL or whatever I was fine with the M2 as it was because there was not going to be any better options for me.

Then European emission laws forced BMW's hand to give future M2 buyers a once in a life time gift. The S55 engine in the M2 for not much more than the previous year's car, meanwhile trashing the value of the N55 cars. I know many here don't like the S55 but I want a higher revving engine that pulls all the way to the top. Had I known the M2C was coming, I would have waited, but people said they wouldn't put the S55 in the M2 because they don't want to embarrass the M4.

I'm over it though. Now I am just waiting to see if I want one or not, and if I do, do I wait for the last model year? Do I wait until the G series car comes out and gets a used M2C so I don't totally get fucked on the cost to upgrade (CA taxes).
unless bmw keeps the m2c vanilla and m2c csl out at the same time, otherwise they would have to keep the same price as not to creep into m3/4 territory

I think on a limited model like the CSL there won't be a lot of concern for how the price compares to the M4.

so what do you mean by this comment

"I don't think so, seems unlikely the next M2C comes out at a similar price point that is going to upset M2C owners."

the reason next iteration of m2c might upset current owners, is the possible upgrade in power/technology/lci improvements, (which are inevitable)

but I wasnt commenting that they would be upset from any raise in price,

The thing is if you wanted more top end and big gains from a tune, you could've just got the M240i for the B58 engine.

I don't think the CSL is going to come out at 61k making Comp owners flip out with buyers remorse. Instead it will be significantly more expensive and limited putting a large price gap between it and the Comp.

If you go to the M2 V forum, there is a thread of M2 V M2C. One guy has taken an M2 and a M2C back to back on the track. Interesting review. You will not be salty at all that you have an M2.

Only seats that belong in a M2 are two buckets - anything else is for people who don't like to party when they drive a car designed to party.

Be happy with the M2! It's an amazing car and it gets a lot of looks, it's really rare and the perfect size.

Sure, but it won't matter. Because 3M will come out with a Scotch-Brite Competition model lint roller, and it will have 58 sheets instead of 56, and there will be 98 perforations separating each sheet instead of the current 96, which will mean faster tears by at least 2/10 of a second. 2/10 of a second may not sound like much, but you add up all those fifths over time and eventually someone is going to be able to say that they not only arrived to work fully lint-free, but they got to their cubicle a full minute earlier than previously thought possible. And there will be dozens of threads filled with current Scotch-Brite owners bitching and moaning that 3M sucks because the Scotch-Brite Competition is what the original Scotch-Brite should have been all along, and this will be the last Scotch-Brite they'll ever buy. And then someone will notice that those extra sheets add weight, and people are finding that rolling their lint isn't quite as comfortable on the wrists as it used to be and...

I dunno man, my car was about $13k less at base price. You're not even going to perceive the difference in acceleration between the N55 and S55. The seats, sure, that's a bummer. I also prefer the OG styling and sound of the N55.
