Nope, neither is Google Maps, which is the one I’m waiting for. iOS12 is ready for the 3rd parties, but now we have to wait for those 3rd parties to release their CarPlay compatible versions.

The car is not going to update the apps unless there is an Apple Car Play update some how. None of my cars with car play show anything different than before.

Coded few more things with Bimmercode. Mainly shutting off the stereo when the door is open and eliminating some things from the instrument cluster (like current speed, blank field, etc ...)

Even if you updated to iOS 12, it’s the 3rd party map developers who need to update their apps in order for it to show up on CarPlay. In other words, you have to wait until the Waze developers release an update that allows it to show up on CarPlay.

Apparently the update for Google Maps is now out. Sounds like Oct for Waze.

There seem to be a bit more space between the winglets and the bumper in OP's picture compared to the IND photo.

Thanks. I have seen couple of similar ones but I like this one the most as it seems to have the widest gaps between the bumper and winglet.

Added rear Carbon Fiber spoiler to the M2.

Doesn't show up as well as if the M2 were white, but it still looks good!

Nice! How do you feel about the top of the wheel where its kind of blocky and flattens out a bit on the edge? Does it feel awkward to hold while driving?

Congratulations! So many questions. Coming from such an iconic car what made you decide to switch? What's your impressions now that you own one and aren't just test driving it? What mods does it have and what will you do first?

Yeah, kind of like a ridge on top. It took about 15 minutes to get used to. I’m a 9 and 3 guy but when I use the top of the wheel, it seems to be a good place to hold my thumbs. Although most say it’s the same diameter as stocks the cross section and shape is a lot more complex. I’m digging it.

The blue stripe was messing with my OCD a bit. “Is it REALLY straight?” I went so far as to pull the wheel again thinking I could try 1 spline over only to see tha there’s a key way at 6 o clock. Zero adjustment, unlike my E46.

I’ve calmed down and realized it’s all in my head.

I don’t take delivery until Saturday, so I don’t have strong driving impressions. However, I’ve instructed several students with them so I know what they are like on the track.

The M3 is brilliant. Mine needed some attention at 245000k in anticipation of another track season, and prices seem to be climbing. So I put it on the market and sold it in a day. It was the first car I ever sold for more than I paid. I know I will miss it.

Al square wheel and tire set up, PFC 11 brake pads, and camber plates are the likely mods this year.

I did not take the time to do a search, but the same thing happened to me on the first week I got my M2. The crack originated slightly below the hood line. I finally found the cause though: the wiper blade is very easy to dislodge on those cars, and when I washed my M2 for the first time, I lifted the right wiper, but the blade separated from the arm and the arm hit the windshield. The crack originated at the exact point the arm touched the windshield.
