You can find used seats quite often on eBay. The price varies a lot, ranging from 1 500 €/USD to 4 000 €/USD depending on the condition and prevailing demand. Often the sellers are selling, for example, the entire M4 interior and do not want to sell just the front seats separately. I bought mine from there.

The amount of labour put in the swap procedure depends on whether you are changing from manual to electronic or electronic to electronic, latter being a lot more plug and play operation.

Btw, speaking of which, I may have a near perfect condition M4 black Merino leather interior, except the front seats, available for sale soon... (Back seat, center console and arm rest + door panels.)

Quoted $1,000 for the wiring necessary to make these work. Mine will be forever non-illuminated...otherwise, all functionality working and a perfect fit!

I believe that wiring can be done with a lot less than you have been quoted. I just had my set of M4 chairs installed/wired and I didn't even have electric seats before the installation. The lights work now perfectly. You just need to get power to the lights and make sure that the pins are in correct places in the yellow plugs. I am by no means the expert myself with these things but having seen once how this is done, I'm pretty confident now that you can do it too with a lot less of an investment than you have been told. Let me know if I can help in any way. I got my instructions from david51 .

Sure, I will try to collect you a neat package of the instructions some time tomorrow. They are all over my email inbox atm and will take a while to get everything together so that it makes sense... :-)

Hi guys,
Iown the M2 pre Lci. I'd like to change the front two seats to the M2CS. But this M2CS seats are mechanically adjustable, although I love the M2CS seats form, but I really like the electric adjustable seats. So can I remove the power tuner from the old seats and fit it into the new ones? Has anyone ever done that?
Thanks for replying.

In additional the seat backs have been covered in alcantara - with only the centre "strip" remaining plastic - which I plan to get a set of CF inserts and paint them LBB. Photos below... Also FWIW, I tried to price out purchasing all the parts necessary for the seats (as it has been mentioned, you can't simply buy the seat as a whole unit)...yeah...it was over $10K!!! Not sure if @MR. is going to be able to figure out how to get a package price. Hope so for the rest of you OG owners that want the M2C seats.
I have to ask that even after fitting the m4 seats, do you still notice that they sit at an angle compared to the stock seats?

Any links for the illuminated emblems by any chance? I've found seat swap videos but none about the emblems specifically. Thanks!

I've seen some for the M3 and M4 seats.

If I remember right Kies Motorsport has a pretty good one.

I can't imagine them being to different.
