BSM Wheel Color

I'm currently #4 on the waiting list at Kuni BMW and am undecided on the right wheel color to pair with BSM. I saw one today with the "black" wheels and they looked better than expected. I guess there's no wrong answer and either finish works with BSM, it's just a question of how much contrast a person wants.

Here are some pictures of the one I saw today with the black wheels. What's the consensus? If you were ordering BSM, would you go black or bi-color?

Here are pictures of the bi-color wheels for comparison. Definitely a big difference in contrast. Bi-color makes the wheel pattern stand out way more.

Bi-color for sure. The "black" version isn't black enough to have the desired effect and just ends up looking like a dirty bi-color wheel.

Black for sure.....

It's all opinion. I think the "black (but not really)" wheels help to emphasize the calipers and rotors....but that's just me. Others like the bi-colored wheels but to say "for sure" is rather pompous...

Thanks jas. This is the first BSM with "black" wheels that I've seen. It's what I have on order, and having seen the bi-color on BSM just today at the dealer, I'm sticking with Black on Black

The correct answer is get the black wheels and then sell them and buy 763m at a discount somewhere. Keep the tires if they're Michelin, replace them if they're Conti.

I think BSM with bi-color looks amazing. I like the contrast.

Take it easy brah, no need to get personal. The question posted by the OP is literally “If you were ordering BSM, would you go black or bi-color?” to what my response was “bi-color for sure” as in I would go bi-color for sure. Comprende?

Guessing you opted for “black” instead ?

Order the black version, looks best with all colors IMO. Bi-color version makes the car look too soft.

Garage List
Silver by miles. Classic BMW. The “black” are for LBB, SO and AW cars. 50/50 with HS. On BSM I’m with Rakete’s brake dust/dirty wheel judgement. 763m in the gold are a nice 80s homage, that weirdly enough looks pretty good, but it’s a statement.

It will be interesting to see what the 788's go for when they start appearing...
