MP rear spoiler with front splitter

Hey everyone,

Brand new to the the M2 world as just picked mine up 2 days ago (on my 5th BMW now).

I am going to order the M-Performance CF rear spoiler and BMW is suggesting:

“To ensure proper driving behavior/aerodynamic balance, it is strongly recommended that the rear trunk lid spoiler be installed in conjunction with the front splitter.”

I’m not a fan of the front splitter and don’t want to spend the money on it. Anyone just done the rear spoiler and noticed any ill handling? I’m sure at track speeds it could make a difference but can’t see any other time.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

You won't need a front splitter for street. I run spoiler only and even on the track the car tends to oversteer anyways.

Haha what splitter? You mean those little winglets? I like them, they look awesome, not functional in the least.

Maybe the new mp splitter for the m2c offers some functionality.

The M Performance Package comes with the spoiler but not the not the splitters. I assume if it is really necessary it would have been part of the package.

My car handles great without the splitters which I think look ugly.

None of it is really necessary for our cars....... it looks cool. From '16-18 BMW does not make a front lip just those winglets. It would have been nice if they did, not into these wingy thinglets

That's quite the marketing schtick. You probably need the diffuser too, and the carbon shifter.
