Super useful!

My M2 is my first BMW vehicle. Service/maintenance at local BMW dealerships and independents is much more expensive than for my prior car: a Subaru WRX. So, part of getting myself into the M2 was committing to taking on many of the maintenance tasks myself. Your reviews and knowledge sharing have been a solid reason for my success at my initial foray into DIY car maintenance.

Thank you so much!

Thanks for the kind words and glad I could help!

I have a core belief about these cars and the car community that revolves around 3 fundamental things that I always try to hold myself to:

1) Information about these cars should be available. Meaning as much info as possible should be available about these cars.

2) information about these cars should be easily and readily accessible. Meaning if you want to to know something about these cars, it should be easy to find said info.

3) information about these cars should be free. Meaning if you want to know something about these cars, that info should be free.

I never ask for money, and I never make any money on my reviews either. No commission and no donations needed. Would it be nice to make money or accept donations? Yes, Yes it would. Because car mods are unbelievably expensive, especially since I live in Canada and the exchange rate from USD to CAD is an absolutely killer penalty, along with: shipping costs, brokerage, duty, and taxes on every shipment. So I really appreciate every sponsorship I ever get, because that helps me do more reviews. But it's not just money, it's time. I spend absurd amounts of time on the forum, like absolutely ridiculous amounts of time on here helping people and that doesn't even include the insane amount of time I spend on reviews and working on my own car. I walk people through step by step on how to fix stripped threads, or how to do mods, or what mods to buy. I even walked an individual from Argentina through how to build a high quality WMI kit with excellent components, and explain to him how fail-safes work and what types there are. So would donations or fees for help be nice? Sure, It'd be nice to get donations or charge money so I could put it towards mods or maintenance and yearly upkeep but I refuse to ever ask for it, because I believe help and information should be free. I will never gate keep anything I know.

So yeah, I try to uphold myself to these 3 principles and try to help as many people as I can.

Edit - I should also add that there isn't anything wrong with monetizing reviews if you choose to do so. I just don't do it because I want my reviews to be 100% unbiased, and to demonstrate that I actually believe in the product I review and am not doing it to make money.

However, for knowledge, help and advice I personally believe it should absolutely be free and never held behind a pay wall. So that's just my take on it and obviously not everyone agrees.

Read down through that #14 thread on the belt wear tester. We’ve found an alternate source for the testers, at least for US or North America residents — an outfit in New Jersey called CRP Industries.

I ordered a set of these at the very same time as the Wheel Saver Socket.

I wish it came with a small pouch or carrying case like a watch usually does so it was easier to put in a tool bag or door panel area.

I found it slot perfectly into the stock tool pouch, and that's where I keep mine.
