This sh*t rattles like crazy. Pretty sure the stiff suspension is a big part of it.

Meanwhile, my 13 year old 330xi doesn't make a sound - opposite of the M2, this is likely due to a softer suspension.

Yes. Had exactly that, sounds like coming from behind or in the sceen enclosure, but in my car actually coming from the ceiling switch/light panel. Was fixed by BMW but came back again.

My 2019 M2C has all the exact same rattles as my 2016 M235i. Not surprised, or bothered by them. They come and go depending on the ambient temp (summer vs. winter). Often times I've experienced that the fix ends up causing more problem than the original rattle to begin with.

Found the rattles on the back deck were from the plastic car seat attachment hooks. Now wrapped in felt.

I have a rattle in the rear passenger deck area. Sounds like it's coming from the speaker back there. Might be the car seat hook. Hmmm.

Short answer: the dealer fixed a pretty loud package shelf rattle today. It was a clip inside the c-pillar cover. The tech replaced the clip with one that has a gasket.

Long answer: I posted a complete explanation here https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ghlight=rattle

I have had one rattle. For the longest time I thought it was coming from the passenger door panel but I realized anytime I had a passenger in the car there was no rattle so it's something to do with the passenger seat. It hasn't been bad enough for me to track down but I'll probably look into it closer in the spring as I think it's something either under the seat or on the plastic on the side of the seat.

I had something similar. High pitch 'Geiger counter' like rattle from the passenger seat. Sound would go away when someone was sitting there. Turned out to be something in the passenger seat buckle, harness, wiring, I dunno, that ran up the seat. After they replaced the passenger buckle it went away.

I got a headliner rattle around the dome light. I'll get the dealer to look at it next month. Quite annoying.

I started to get a rattle in the housing behind the mirror. Stuffed a piece of felt in between it and where it meets the headliner. Problem solved!

Hey folks, I’ve a 18 M2 LCI with Fabspeed DP and MPE. I hear a rattle in the area of the passenger door when I’m around 3K RPM. Do you guys have experience with that?

In the B-pillar? Sounds like its next to the passenger's seat? If so, mine has that also. My 2016 M235i before my 2019 M2C had it as well. When I had my M235i I tried all kinds of stuff to fix it. Nothing ever made any difference. With my M2C I've just accepted it as a quirk of the 2-series chassis.

I have the assumption that it’s actually in the door, since when you bang on the door lining (where the alcantara is) with your hand, you can also hear it.
