OP, I noticed the orange peel on my 3. But isn't that just water based paint and Not really a sign of poor quality?
Anyhow congrats!

Worried about this too. My only thought is to track it closely and be at the dealer when (or very near when) it arrives to check the mileage (and let my SA know I checked the mileage). Not sure what recourse I have if they do drive it though, as it technically isn't mine until the purchase paperwork is done and I have accepted delivery.

I had planned to post some interesting pics today but was delayed when I managed to drop my phone down into the cavity infront of the intercooler that requires taking the front end off to get access to.
Had to mcgyver together a bag and string, lower it down and tease the phone in with a stick. Needless to say my gf thinks I'm an idiot. View post on imgur.com However, the grill is now off and the chrome will be gone soon |

How's the 80mph drone? Bearable? What are your thoughts on the way the driving mode affects DCT? Is sport aggressive enough? What about the speed of manual (paddle) shifts done in comfort (I.e., when driving in auto)? |

Finally managed to get the bastard grills out and attacked them with a can of plastidip (BMW are taking ages to deliver my kidneys and the 3rd party vendors can't do speedy delivery over easter.
Delighted to be rid of the chrome, have to see if I prefer the matt or gloss when the OEM part arrives. |

Sport is really pretty aggressive. The shift speed is great. It manages to avoid being very jerky in traffic but still holds onto the gears I want and bangs through them quickly. Honestly I've not used the paddles when in comfort yet, if I'm in that mode I'm letting the car do its own thing. I will try it out if I remember. Its pretty loud for an OEM fitted part on a car in this bracket. It gets people's attention. Still its not going to be as loud as if you get a third party drainpipe Last edited by caminator; 03-25-2016 at 07:18 PM.. |

And setting it to "quiet mode." Over and over again. Now *that* would be fun.
