I think the red paint from the Vision GT6 combined with the add on part is confusing us into thinking that there is a fang. There is no "fang" on the GT6, there is a C shape with a sharp corner in the corner kind of like a <.

It is most apparent on the right side of this image:

I think you both are right, kind of. Obviously, there has to be some sort of material there or else the area wouldn't be stable but it might be a black plastic swoop (like you see at the bottom of the 1M vents) giving it the illusion of nothing there.

I see what you mean, I've noticed this a while back. This image hurts my brain. You can see that the nom carbon part definitely resembles the fang. I'm not sure what's going on exactly below. It looks like they touch or connect, but still seems to me that the fang is it's own entity.

There is something just not right with this. Maybe it's because there is a colour difference between the bumper and hood. But it looks like the bumper clearly shouldn't belong on that car. Like it's some cheap aftermarket bumper someone's thrown on their base 2 series. there is something lacking above the bumper on the rest of the car. It's like the bumper is muscular but everything else is not. Like it needs the hood dome (which I know it's not getting) or maybe it's as simple as putting the m mirrors on there. Can anyone else see this?

I stitched it together also but did see something a little off. I stretched the greenhouse slightly since I think it looks more proportional. Also tweaked the gamma/contrast/brightness settings and tinted the windshield (I used a groupon)...

M mirrors.

Throw some M mirrors on this bad boy, and we'll have a winner. Also, it's done using a painter in photoshop. In real life, it would be all the exact same tone, where as right now, it looks like plastic in the picture.

we need to throw some M mirrors on there.

Also, perhaps the proportions would look better if the sky wasn't so WHITE.

It's making it hard to see the A pillars and the roof.

Can we try to photoshop the sky to be darker????

There is no way those hideous fangs don't connect as one solid piece. I certainly hope the fangs on the camo cars are just there to throw off what is really going on because giving it vampire teeth is just fugly.

Just look towards the GT6 concept, you are correct, it creates an angled C shape on each side. These renders are close, they just need the "fangs" connected to the bottom of the front fascia, which eliminates them as "fangs".
