I dont care for blind spot monitoring, but did notice the dead triangle on the M2C mirrors, where I guess the indicator would be (in an M3 or M4?)

It doesn't matter where I drive, NY, LA or in the desert, I look at my mirrors and over my shoulder before changing lanes. Just try explaining to the highway patrol that your lane change system didn't warn you that there was a motorcycle next to you and see how that flies as an excuse.

We have it on multiple cars but none of them are accurate all the time. Either it works a little slow or not at all. Only our Tesla detects every time and immediately but you have to look at the screen instead of the mirrors so not very useful either.
I don't miss it at all on the M2. |

Mounted up a fresh set of super sports onto my apex wheels, detailed her and put some miles on today! 65 degrees for January in New Jersey, I'm not complaining👍🏻

Looks great! What size tire on the rears? Any spacers? Stock suspension? Apex race silvers are on my birthday list!

Went on a parts buying binge, even though my M2C is still about 12 weeks out. A lot of it is copied from what I did with my old e46 M3. Admittedly, it's mostly cosmetic items and car-specific tools so I can go direct to the PPF and Ceramic paint people after doing a few installs:
- Acexxon no-drill universal front lip protector - Automotive Passion Front arch guards - BMS M14x1.25 wheel hanger pins - BMS replica 95mm black chrome exhaust tips - BMS short-throw clutch stop - BMS wheel saver 17mm socket - Bottleneck Gallery M2C keychain - BMW e90 “no CDV” slave cylinder (21526785964) - BMW European aspheric side mirrors (51168059567, 51168059568) - BMW European sun visors (51448057937, 51448057938) - BMW Motorsport keychain (80272461) - BMW M Performance CF steering wheel trim (32302413480) - BMW M Performance front floor mats (51472407299) - BMW M Performance European indoor car cover (829025218) - BMW M Performance rear floor mats (51472409930) - BMW oil pouch (83292458654) - BMW supplemental door seals (51487300693, 51487300694) - BMW M14x1.25 spline style wheel locks (36136776076) - Goodridge stainless braided brake lines - IND driver’s side door lock cover - IND front (SOM) & rear (matte slatted) reflector delete kit - IND SOM painted side marker set (base: OEM, horizontal bar: SOM) - IND silver ignition bezel - Orange aluminum valve stem caps - TechnicPNP ASD bypass cable - TMB Motorsports jack pad adapters - Uxcell USB Type-A anti-dust plugs That should hold me until my 1200 break-in. Then I can start being a bit more creative..... R. Last edited by flybigjet; 01-13-2020 at 12:05 PM.. |

Washed...
First wash of the year this past weekend. Washed with Chemical Guys HydroSuds and applied HydroCharge/HydroSlick coating. Happy with the result although the car looks more reddish now. Oh... and of course it rained the following day

painted that backbox black.
Also thought I'd try some 4d carbon wrap the back seat covers. Doesn't, look to bad but I think I will get a professional to do it properly. Lastly M performance tips and Autoid diffuser fitter. Wasn't to happy to have a red pen mark that wouldn't come off. Figured that once it was on I wouldn't notice it. The fitment wasn't great to be honest, you can see the gap from the picture here. Its more apparent dead on to, but I really don't have the patience to take it all off and send it away and not be able to drive the car. *Sorry for the massive pics.* |

(Finally) got an Allocation! Week 7 build.
My SA was able to trade an incoming black M2C with an Allocation slot from an out of state dealer. Yay. I may still be waiting, but at least there's forward progress. Not sure when it'll hit my dealer-- the way its looking, it'll probably be just about the time I'm getting on a jet to go to the South Pacific for three weeks. Worst case, the car will sit in secure storage until I get back in the world to pick it up. (Oh-- and I also ordered the AP front arch guards.) R. Last edited by flybigjet; 01-22-2020 at 08:20 PM.. |

Installed ECS Tuning wheel locks that fit with my spacers, they are M14x1.25x38mm they will work with 10-12.5mm spacers. I am currently running 12mm front and 10mm rear Future Classic spacers.

AP Essex brake kit. No need to remove those front boat anchors to change pads! Time to hit the track!
