Hazard lights turning on after heavy breaking

Bit of a random one but has anyone found their hazards coming on automatically after heavy breaking? It's happened a couple of times when stopping at lights with the break peddle on the floor, slightly embarrassing!

It's a safety feature. Been on cars for years.

Was going to say the same lol, recently did a Bmw driver training day and you basically had to be doing an emergency stop for the hazards to come on.

US Spec has this feature removed; instead it lights up the inboard brake lights during heavy braking. It can be coded to follow US specs; most people in the US like this feature and code them to flash

Honestly I wish the US spec cars have this feature. I'm a fan of not being rear ended.

Very European Safety feature. In Germany on the Autobahn, when you get caught in a sudden "Stau" (traffic jam") you are obligated to hit your 4-way hazards....this automates the process!
