Are you running a front plate on your M2

Lost in translation. And yes that would be asking for trouble! No front plate no inspection no registration, the meter maids dreams come true.

It is over $100 in NY - something on the order of $50 for no plate plus $80 for some sort of New York State fund of some sort. Basically just a big tax. Don't get me started on my $177 parking ticket in White Plains.

It depends. Did you have two beers prior to being pulled over? Could you still be arrested for DUI even though you are below the limit (because the officer thought you were driving erratically)? What would the attorney's fees be? Lots of variables...

(reading between the lines.... there could be a lot more than just a ticket - the fact is, it is a valid reason to pull you over, even if you are driving perfectly and have had nothing to drink).

I agree 100%! I don't need to give anyone a reason to pull me over. Although I did get a handshake and a compliment on my car from the first state trooper that pulled me over.

I don't run a front plate in CA - I've been written up for it 4 times over the years that I can recall, 3 of those times were from city cops when I was parallel parked and the other was from a clearly bored CHP cop who pulled me over for it.

I'm going to go plateless up front until I get caught at it again, at which point I'll use a tow hook mount long enough to get the ticket signed off.
