Same boat for me, only reason I wont order the first allocation is because of the M perf parts not being available till later.

I've gotten the best deals on my BMWs by playing the whole "hard to get" game like when you're desperately trying to get a girl and she pretends that she's one of a kind and unswayable.. My last deal they saw I was very knowledgeable about the 235 (Thanks 1addicts), so he hit me with the whole "we can't discount the 235 because it's a niche product, blah, blah" I rudely walked out in the middle of the conversation and told him I'm going another BMW dealer a few miles away... He called me 5 mins later and told me if I came back, they could discount $5,000 off the sticker and the manager will write a check on my behalf to BMW Financial Lease return for $2,000 because I gave them back my 135i with Michelin Super Sports instead of BS run flats they provided, which they claim were "cheaper" tires...

This is not a new iPhone, I would wait and see how it plays out after the initial hype dies down, if you care to pay less. Like for instance, when I had the bug and was browsing for a new M2, a little over a year ago; the dealers were acting like this car was engineered by Jesus himself and runs on premium holy water; so mark-ups are a must.. Now the same exact car is discounted by thousands, if you play your cards right.. long story short, don't buy into the hype, it's just a car..
Im not going to purchase one unless its at MSRP.

Im first in line at both dealerships and my local one ive bought my last 2 bimmers at said if they got more then 2 allocations theyll give me one @ MSRP. but I agree I wouldnt pay over sticker, just wait and the market will adjust accordingly.

Yes I am aware of that this is not standard and I am very grateful for this chance. after looking around for so many many years and now having that great opportunity, almost nothing can stop me from finally pulling the trigger :-)

25-30% off msrp? So the dealer is going to take a bath to give you a discount? Unlikely. Can't be more than 10% discount.

It‘s a fleet discount agreement between my employer (a swiss private bank) and VW, Audi, Mercedes, Skoda, BMW and so on. Under certain conditions (beeing at least Authorized Officer or higher) one is allowed to get new (and ONLY new) cars from besaid brands.

Discounts between 15% and 25% are common, sometimes they go up as high as 35%. For the M2C it will be somewhere between 25% and 30%, gonna fight about this next week..

This is how it works. Already did this in the past for our family car (skoda octavia), worked like a charm and all official/legal.

Now that the topic of the fleet program came up, does anyone know if we will be able to use it in the US for the M2 Comp? When the original M2 first came out, it was not available for fleet pricing. More recently (in the last year or two I believe) they have added the M2.

I am going to order the competition regardless but would love to get fleet pricing.

I agree 100%...as Colin Chapman said: "Adding power makes you faster on the straights ; subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere ". I can easily add 80hp to my M2 and drop 100lbs....this looks like a better option than the M2C for a lot less. P.S. I am #1 on my dealers list.

Haven't seen any info about fleet on here. You'll have to ask your dealer.

I kind of feel like the M2 is already pretty heavy honesty, so I feel like what's the difference? But I guess it's relative for each person.

I was at my local UK dealer today and he said he can't confirm the UK price but the leaked press is usually right.

I told him I would need to see the car in the flesh before I decide, he told me they had 4 deposits taken before the official release and all have cancelled and said they will wait to see and hear the car.

what sort of deposit do dealers normally ask for at this stage?

and is it refunded if you change your mind?

3rd in line, deposit paid.

I took all of 5 min to decide to get one. It’s the M I’ve been waiting for. Wouldn’t touch any other M in the lineup.

Same here, I am fully set for it! Spec is known, we only need to write it all down in the BMW system and have me pay the deposit.

My configuration/offer was created by my sales rep in BMW's system today... He couldn't yet place it as an order (no build slots available), but expected to be able to do so by Monday.

Id like to be able to use the fleet discount as well. I don’t mind waiting a bit for that to be possible.

On the topic of discounts, if anyone is diplomatic in Europe the German car companies have pretty amazing discounts, on top of which the cars are tax free. 30% is possible in the right circumstances.

I'm waiting til the dealerships have all there ducks in a row. I need to know which parts are available when and how they are installed. I'm first at 2 different dealerships, I am told, but will most likely opt for a 1st quarter build in 2019. car would sit in my garage til April anyways.
