Yes, apparently that is possible. I have DCT, so could not test.

Ive read about just unplugging the ASD amp on HK systems...That works on some cars, not M2...Trust me I tried. Its integrated and the sound in is fiber opt....

Technik harness is only option.
WRONG ... it absolutely can be coded off .. just did it several days ago for a friend

Total noob to this coding stuff, sounds great. Does it affect the warranty? I'm assuming not or there wouldn't be so many people doing it. Also, when you take it to the dealer for service will they mess with you coding and reset stuff back to the default settings?

Shouldn't effect the warranty at all; I've brought my last 2 BMW's to the dealer for service. ONE time the coding was reset. That was a larger job (replace injectors). Not sure what they did that caused the code reset. My routine maintenance at the dealer, did not affect my coding.

I used bimmer america to remotely code our M2. I was able to use the same cable that I have used on my 2012 535I (F10). Total cost was $147.50. No luck in coding the instrument cluster lights. With any luck someone will crack it.

I think they can be confused with another vehicle's flashers either in the rearview mirror or behind it.

Can you code the speed limit sign reading, so that it displays on the dash?
I see it on the euro cars but we have it disabled here in Aus.

That's part of the Executive Package in the U.S. Is it perhaps an option in Aus?

Not available as an option at all here in Aus. So was hoping it could be coded on some way.

Why code it off? There is a button on the dash to turn it off and it remembers your setting every time you leave and return to the car.

I believe only the US has this programmed that way. But yes, there looks to be options for memory and off by default.

I see! It must be annoying not being able to turn off completely. I switched it on by error once and being 6 speed it was even more awkward
