Main reason I am asking you guys, is that I have planned for this BMW M2/M2C road trip between the 13rd and 17th.

The available slots are currently slowly filling up, but I feel not everyone has seen it here on the forums since it is in a section hardly anyone watches.

I think it would be really cool to have some guys who are doing ED on this trip as well or at least allow yourself to consider it and if interested plan your ED before it.

You read more information about it here:

Let me know if you are around.

This is intriguing to me, and I am considering it! I could probably change my requested date to better align with these dates.

Do you think this would be a good trip to do as part of the break-in period right after pickup of the new M2C, giving the car a well rounded break in experience? Would it be too much?

Would I be limited compared to other drivers because I was in the break-in period, possibly always lagging behind the pack due to RPM limitations, etc?

Definitely a great trip. It is really diverse in the type of driving. There are all kinds of roads and you can fully determine your own pace. Since we are going to be with 10+ cars we are never going to stick together all the time, and people will have different driving behavior. Some will gun it, others will keep it cool. You never have 10+ the same kind of drivers.

The only place where you would be a touch limited on the initial Autobahn stretch on the Sunday, but other than that you will be totally fine. Good thing is that after you have done the whole trip, you will have done more than half the miles you need before the service.

For your information, I did a group drive immediately on the first drive after I collected it and my car is working totally fine. Also this is of course an exclusive opportunity to get access to all the best BMW M and Classic have to offer. That doesn't happen every day.

Thank you. I was verbally told my ED date will be July 18, but still waiting for a confirmation letter. Looks like I’d be too late to the party

Ask them to move it earlier and if I need to move something around then let me know. I can always ask and we all join you on the collection on the 12th .

Been looking into my trip arrangements, although I'd love to get there earlier and join in, I actually think I need the additional time and July 18 Pickup will work better for me. Thank you though, have fun!

This looks fun now esp since my wife won't be able to make it for this trip. But $1800 is a tad bit expensive for 5 days of driving

This is a great opportunity for a fellow EDer! Wish you had a trip planned like this last year when I picked up my M2c during my ED.

I for one was going 140 mph in my M2c on the Autobahn with 600 miles on her. Not doing some high speed driving on the AB in Germany is a waste! The car will be okay people.
