Tip: BMW Labs Integration
Not sure if this has been posted, but connecting your car to BMW Labs will provide you with many experimental/beta features not currently available to everyone.

Right now, I'm just happy I finally got my BMW Remote app working, after weeks of phone calls and run around between the US help line, my dealership, BMW Canada

Yes, Android, but the issue was not so much with the app....it was just getting a login and password created. Dealing with BMW Canada, the dealer and the BMW US helpline to try to get this done was like a 3 Stooges episode.

That's funny! My app was up and running the first day I picked up my car, asked the dealer for my username and password, done.

You'll have to get the "BMW Genius" at your dealership to do it on your behalf...he has to call or email the BMW Canada backoffice IT guy to do it, and then send you a new PW. This was ultimately what I had to do to get my credentials, after weeks of run around. I pointed out to them that this is not a secure system, that they should allow customers to set/reset their own. They agreed, and mentioned that they are in the midst of consolidating systems with the US, and self service should be enabled in the future. |

Bringing this up from the dead. Was trying to get IFTTT to log my driving but have not been able to get it to work. It almost looks like newer cars are not supported. Anyone else trying this: https://ifttt.com/applets/93704094d-...drive-your-car It's from BMW Labs.

This never worked for me (unfortunately) but I just got an email that says:
On August 12th, the BMW Labs service and its Applets will be removed from IFTTT because BMW is discontinuing their pilot program. |
