Happy for you! I’ve always enjoyed reading your thoughts on the CS and descriptions of lovely drives along back roads. The AM crowd is lucky to have you!

This seems like a good deal? I've been reading that AM will apply the AMR tune to the DB11 v12.

Yes. You can get the AMR tune, well, most of it. There were changes to the suspension. I wouldn’t ever buy a first year model of any car. I’m also not a huge DB11 fan. It’s a big big thing. Aimed more to the pipe and slippers niche. More a grand cruiser. But if you are into pipe and slippers it’s probably a nice place to be. I’d go 2020 on though.

I’d likely stick with your Vanqish Volante idea. But get the 8 speed final model. They are lovely.

Or go to a Vantage roadster. What a bloody thing. It is so much quicker than the CS over a bumpy real world road it’s insane. Absolutely no scuttle shake. On a track it would probably be very close though, maybe the CS would edge it, hard to say. Also. It’s just as fun at slow speeds. The Lotus guru they poached truly delivered. German cars just don’t do bumpy roads that well. I suspect your roads are more like Uk and Australian. It’s eye opening.

The VH2, ie previous model had roadsters from 2009 to 2017. A late GT or GTS is a great choice. They are very analogue cars. Nicely balanced and just the right power (430hp) for the chassis.

Nice example. A rare manual.

The AM6, the newer model that I have was released in 2021. It’s a totally different car. There really aren’t too many around as it was launched in the middle of Covid and only made for 3 years.

I kind of like this one.
