I have tiny bit of left to tight play also. You can not detect it while shifting. Had my first chance to take it to the Track at Palmer Friday, and am amazed at the precise shifting it makes. By far the best Mod i've done to my M2. No more vague slopiness. Shift Happens.

Just posted this under the Track forum but wanted to get thoughts from AS SSK owners too. Thanks!

After completing 24 hrs from installing the SSK, here is my feedback:

Crisp and precise shifting, with a great clicking sound and feeling that gives you lots of satisfaction. Now the car's shift feels like a special sport car

Current setup:
- SSK: 20% reduction, stock height and 70a bushings
- OEM clutch lever
- BMS Clutch Stopper

Yay me. Ronald is backlogged on the shifter. I'd put my order on hold last month until I got the M-P shift knob (to decide on shift height), and he said he wasn't going to be able to get to mine until late August.

He just emailed me yesterday-- he made a 20% reduction instead of a 25% reduction for a customer, so I get his. Going with some cool "one-off" 74A bushings that he recommended.

Sometimes karma works in your favor.

This is my review of UCP, Autosolutions SSK and CDV Delete.

First i installed UCP, then SSK and CDV Replacement when car was on lift.

UCP is worth buying just for the lower resting postion alone. Throw is much shorter also.
Tricky thing with ucp is felling of the pedal.
First i tried with CDV still on the car.
For me using both springs in middle setting is not good. There is very pronounced 2Step motion because of added spring tension, and operation is not smooth at all. Your leg is fighting that tension and is hard to modulate.
Better solution is lightest setting with both springs, but you can still fill that 2 step motion, and stickiness at the bottom.
For now i left it in lightest setting with just smaller spring.
But now when the CDV is removed, felling is completely different.
I will try other combinations now.

CDV Delete.
I did compelete swap with part from the E90.
Now you can drive the car normally, There is A LOT more feel thorugh the clutch pedal and you can drive the car much smoothly.
Now i need to adjust springs of the UCP since there is more play at the beggining of the pedal . ( I Will try both springs in lightest postiion or just larger one).

Autosloutions SSK

I decided on 20% reduciton, 80A+ Bushings and stock height.

OH MY GOD!
What a shifter!
Ronald is a great guy with a lot of knowledge and patience.
Directness and precision is amazing, the sound it makes. For me it is better than stock porsche shifters.
Aded feedback in vibration and effort is very welcome for me. AS far as NVH goes , to me is non existent.
I kinda wish i went with 25% of reduciton. :/

All in all IF you like driving the car and not press buttons. Money well spent.

I just installed the UCP last night. I only drove to work this morning (a mix of highway, town traffic and country roads), but what a difference. I have both springs on and in the factory (lightest) setting.

My experience is so far,
- Travel is remarkably shorter.
- Very smooth and linear.
- Much lighter to push in.

Highly recommended.

Smile Taking the plunge

Just placed order with Ronald for an Autosolutions SSK - 22.5% reduction, stock height as I'll use the OEM shift knob, .80a+ bearing plus an ultimate clutch pedal from ECS tuning. Hoping to tighten up the shifter feel. Recently drove a manual 2020 Lotus Evora GT and loved the shifter feel - reminded me of the Honda S2000 in terms of precision.

Thanks to all for the information on this thread. Very much appreciated.

Hey team - super interested in the AutoSolutions SSK for my M2C!
I think the feedback is overwhelmingly positive, but I'm really curious about noise. One review said that normal noise is (paraphrasing) "2/10 = a little bit noisy, with the autosolutions SSK it is a 4/10 which is enough to make your unknowing passenger ask what said noise is"
Does that sound right to people? Varying answers throughout this thread. The review from AutoPilot is great cuz you can watch it being shifted while driving, however it is really hard to tell if there is any audible noise.

I know it's subjective, just trying to get a feel or even "7/10 people said it was noisier than stock" and potentially what kind of additional noise you get.

Thanks!

Edit: videos that I watched - there are a decent amount of videos on youtube to watch! Hard to gauge noise from the shifter though, or maybe because I can't hear any it's simply not there...

I have the UCP in possession and the AutoSolutions SSK scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Will schedule installation and provide feedback. Really looking forward to an improved shifter action/increased precision with reasonable effort and hopefully no to minimal increased noise.

I've had mine in for over a year now. ZERO NVH.

I can confirm that it definitely produces a kinda subtle "click" sound when shifting... but no rattling noise! I think the click sound reduced over time after few months of using it.

Great sound, great feeling... not overly done, definitely where it belongs and how it should have been delivered by BMW.

Btw, I am extremely intolerant when it comes to interior noise and rattles, and this modification definitely is a huge upgrade.

Yeah I don't have any odd whirring noises with the SSK, although admittedly my hearing is pretty bad. You feel more vibration through the shift lever for sure, but it doesn't add to any sort of added ambient cabin noise. I have no regrets doing this mod.

One person did mention they paired it with the F22 m perf knob (the CF one) and it causes a weird whirring noise. I have the exact same combination with no such issue. YMMV I guess?

Awesome - thanks all for the feedback! I'm glad to hear multiple people say that there's no whirring/rattling/ambient noises. That's what I was most concerned about, as if the SSK would suddenly make it sound like I had straight cut gears or something. Obviously this is not the case! Glad to hear, I'm excited to get the SSK!

Just had the AutoSolutions short shift kit from Ronald and Ultimate Clutch Pedal (UCP) as well as a M Performance CF rear diffuser from DriverDaily installed yesterday. The change in shifting feel and precision is truly transformative. I cannot recommend the SSK enough. The UCP also feels much improved and playing with springs and position to optimize for my use. Currently using the smaller spring in the "sport" or middle setting. May increase to larger spring to increase the effort. I did not notice any increase in sound but then again my ears are that of a 52 year old male I however am rather noise sensitive to random noises within my cars/vehicles.

I waited about 3 weeks. But he builds them in batches, waits until he has several from same model car.
