If it's the same on in the F30, I've seen it and it's not impressive. Is there a different one in the M2 Comp?

Best guess is the M2cs will make less power than the M3cs, and so the MT they have will be able to handle it. The M3cs probably made so much power that without a redesign they couldn't give it the MT. Look for the upcoming G8x M cars to most likely get the next revision of MT that will be able to handle more power.

So is the M Carbonstructure cloth going to make it to production or is it only going to be leather/Alcantara like originally reported? I hope it ends up being cloth! Very cool.

Nice! I like the cut outs. Looks like they ditched the color inserts. As an m2C owner, the only thing that really makes me salty is the carbon fiber roof, because of the invasive nature of the retrofit. Hood, tune, wheels, steering wheel all easy retrofits. Interested to see confirmation of adaptive dampers or spring changes.

Probably because when being competitive on the track, the DCT does an objectively better job. More gears for more flexibility, faster shifts, and less chassis destabilization with rev-matching and closer ratios. The DCT might not be as "fun" or "pure", but in a road race, it's the choice for professionals... not that many M3 CS owners will ever take advantage of that fully. Personally, I will track my CS, but not competitively. It looks like the M2 CS will happily be more for the pure enthusiast. I'm all for it, and I do wish the M3 CS came in manual as well, but I understand why BMW did it. The DCT is truly still a blast to drive though, so I can't complain too much.

Will we be able to get leather? That cloth feels like sandpaper to me.

And thank goodness it didn’t. Perhaps I’m getting old, but I need the lumbar support. If you look in the F80/82 forums, you see people with low back pain trying to improvise all sorts of pillows and cushions to make up for it. The holes certainly look cool, but they are not practical. Perhaps they suit a CS/CSL, but I’m surprised BMW made that compromise for the F80/F82 ZHP.
