Actually, if the dealer sold him a car that was previously tuned then the dealer is responsible for not disclosing that the car had been tuned. They should have sold the vehicle without the warranty which most likely would have lowered the purchase price of the vehicle.

This isn't true. If they sell you a car with a warranty they can't later deny it for what the previous owner did.

This is a copy of my question to protuning freak and their answer:

Question: Is the m2 cs tune you are offering is The real M2 CS tune exactly as oem m2 cs ? if it is, it should offer 444 hp and 406 lbs of torque.

Protuning freak answer: Yes and yes. This is correct.

it has never been possible to flash tune since feb-march cars produced in 2019+ without first getting a bench unlock

Anybody know for sure if the BM3 M2 CS map has the same linear torque as OEM? The factory tune for the M2 CS should have the same HP as the M3/M4 but with a a different torque curve.

I have always enjoyed the tune on the OG M3/M4 (faster turbos spool up response) more than the one on the ZCP though the ZCP has the same torque and more HP.

Agreed but I don't know if the BM3 version of the OEM M2 CS tune is the same as what you get from the factory. The M4 CS and the M2 CS should have different torque curves but similar HP...

Kelvin1000 no disrespect but you seem to be fixated on what the graphs look like or if it is an exact copy of oem vs what it drives like. I'm not really understanding the full importance.

Why not try it as they have a 30 day refund (I think) and if you want it tweaked then get a custom tune.

From what I have garnished from previous posts the tunes are not true exact copies. Ie dump the rom and upload the rom. They modify your base map with all the relevant tables of the target tune which in essence produces the same result. Happy to be corrected on this.

No offense taken. I am currently running BM3 Stage 1 and have also used the M4 CS and CS+ maps. The thing is that there is a certain smoothness and balance that the OEM maps have that Stage 1 does not replicate. I believe that the more usable torque curve of the M2 CS OEM tune would be perfect for my taste.

I am just trying to figure out if the OTS map is equivalent to the stock M2 CS because I have been told that it's the same as the M4 CS, which should not be the case if the maps would actually replicate the factory OEM calibrations.

Ok I get you. Having driven cars with the Stg 1 tune the smoothness and throttle curve at light loads is not the same as oem. Noticeable in Sport mode more. Don't get me wrong it is good just not oem smooth. Especially around the 2500-3000 rpm range.

Good luck in your hunt.

I have confirmed that the BM3 M2 CS map is the same as the OEM calibration. I will do some testing and try to go back to the dyno to record the results.

Does BM3 have the ability to prevent CELs due to running catless downpipes?

I say never semi sarcastically because it will probably be a long time, if ever that an exploit will be found that will let you do it without first getting a bench unlock. time, money, man power... will it eventually happen? maybe/probably... anytime soon? probably not.
When i purchased the F20 116i for my wife in 2014 they said it will never be possible to flash the DDE via OBD.

I flashed the car the old way, opening the DDE box.

Three years later, i could flash my 2014 328i myself via Bootmod3 with my own Pc in my home.

This time i am not paying the price of being anxious. It wil happen again. Just have to be patient. I will have to live with only 410 hp

The BM3 M2CS tune seems to be true to the original M2CS. I have no specs to offer but it has less torque than a stage one tune at higher rpms. The great thing about the M2CS tune is that the power delivery is like butter. When shifting the 6MT, the rpms drop perfectly between shifts. In fact I'd say that this tune shifts better that any tune I've tried including the stock M2C.
I think for a beautiful balanced driving experience the M2CS is the top tune especially on the twisties and around town. If you want to blow away all other M2s on the dragstrip or the freeway at high speeds then go for a stage 1.
