I ultimately cancelled my order after continued delays, but for what it's worth, I've seen a number of examples in person and it's still a high quality product and probably worth the wait. I went with the akrapovic axle-back, which I appreciate is totally apples and oranges with this system (was always mostly concerned w removing rear section). Hope everyone gets their orders soon!

I'm new to this. What is the significance of this requiring cutting? Why does that put some people off?
For the approaches that don't require cutting, is it common to keep the factory exhaust so you can attach it back presumably for resale value...? Did anyone keep/store the factory exhaust after installing this Dinan exhaust? |

I think the concern with this one is that it you have to cut more of it out. Not sure if that means that the stock one can't go back in or if more mods are required to do so. If I recall correctly, there was a post in this thread of someone not liking the Dinan exhaust and decided to switch to a different system. So, I assume switching it out is possible, but if another member could clarify for me as well, that would be nice. |

I've enjoyed the Dinan exhaust all Sumer. Anyone add a catted down pipe with it? I'm thinking Wagner catted for extra throttle response?
Curious if it would be too loud or raspy. |

I got the call that my order (placed in August) was delayed until Dec 31, which just sounds like a placeholder date. Ended up cancelling and getting my money back. This is still the exhaust that I would buy, if only it were available! Must really be rough for Dinan to have these kinds of supplier issues. I don't blame them for the delay. Hopefully someone gets theirs earlier than expected by virtue of me cancelling.

I just picked up Wei718's Dinan exhaust and had it installed yesterday. I have not had a chance to take the car out and really wind it up but so far it sounds and looks so much better than stock.

I have mine, sounds awesome. Great change between quiet and valves open. However, I'm trading in the car, so it's up for sale. PM if you're interested. I'm on the NY/CT border, north of NYC. No more box, so pickup needed. Polished tips.

No rasp before the DP's and no rasp afterwards. Its about 20% louder with the valves open, but still enjoy the sound now... Not sure if this helps but figured I add my .02

You can also add downpipes for a more aggressive sound.

Thinking about getting this exhaust since I like the stock tone but don’t mind something a bit deeper. Anyway, does anyone know if the Dinan exhaust system require any sort of cutting or modification to my stock exhaust system? Thanks.
