If you get it from Kuba, then he’ll resend you the file to get full screen again. Or if you have BimmerCode, you can code in full screen after the dealer update.

I’m not worried about full screen, but about losing activation entirely if it’s not the “official” activation.

+1 another happy customer for kubax86 this is the 2nd vehicle I’ve had him sort Apple CarPlay on. Slightly different method than the usb one I used the previous time round. But all worked flawlessly with laptop, enet cable and software download provided.

Would recommend, no hesitation. Thank you once again!

Hi everyone, prospective M2C owner here, about to pull the trigger on a 2019, 6MT example. While the car passed inspection at dealership and everything seems fine, a few small details around the owner lead me to suspect that this car might have ben a rental. One of these details is how the paired iphone is listed in the idrive.
This might be silly but the only phone paired with the car shows up as “iPhone(86)”
Does this mean iphones have been paired 86 times with this car?
On my e class, newly paired, unnamed iphones also show up this way and number in parenthesis increases with each new phone consecutively. On the other hand, I saw threads on apple platforms where they mentioned the number just being a random differentiator. I thought who better to ask then owners with experience. Thanks in advance!

Hi, is there any way to get CarPlay wired in a 2018 M2 (ID6)? Or are there adapters that will let you connect your iPhone via a cable, and then wirelessly to your car (so the opposite of what most of them are doing)?
And I don't mean a MMI box, but a native CarPlay.
