Forum member C_Competition got his wheels powder coated in gloss black and they look pretty good. Check with him, he might be able to send you the pictures.

how much does it normally cost to get this done ?

or people normal just buy the materials and do it themselves?

Honestly, I have no idea. Im thinking about getting mine done when I go in for tire changeover. I’ll let you know If I do.

Usually it's anywhere from $450-$650 per set (with tires, weights, and valve stems/tpms removed already) for good powdercoating. I've done several sets on cars I've had. There's a guy here in Austin with his M2C wheels done in black. Doesn't look bad at all.
