It's like 30 degrees out and I lost traction for a split second in 2nd gear...is it torque steer? IDK, but that's never happened on my stock tune before.

Also, I think I hear the air sucking sound and an ever so light blowoff now too.
Just 'a bit faster'?

Which OTS map is the car running on?

Not yet but they say soon...saw them testing the software on an M4 this month

Only if that flash converted your RWD into AWD or FWD...

Why don't you try to flash the CS+ tune and compare them once it warms up. I am curious how they feel back to back.

Have you seen the burble settings? I can't wait to set it to OFF

Yea, I'll give it a try when it gets warmer out. It's actually snowing today. Haha

No, I didn't see the burble setting. I'll take a look. Thanks!

It is 30 degrees outside at his place. There is no way to test the car in those conditions.

I can whole-heartedly vouch for BM3 and the folks running it. Have the CS+ flash (dropped from Stage 1 due to traction issues) and love it. Worth every penny IMO.

Their email support is wonderful and they respond super fast.

Hmmm I sent them one email, they never responded after 2 weeks.

The bootmod3.net login page doesn't seem to work on chrome or edge browsers, gives an "Error in Authorisation" from their end. Tried 2 laptops and 1 desktop PC, win 10, 7 & XP). I have to use old internet explorer as that works fine.

Phone login (android) is OK, but I don't have hardware OBD agent (so I'm building my own using a Raspberry Pi 3B this weekend for about £35 all in)

Also the BM3 support ticket page won't accept my user/password so I can't contact them via that route either.

Not great so far..

LOL
I have mine set on OEM and its a bit too much for me especially with catless DP's its a lot louder... But I am trying to give it a chance.

I have been running the CS+ map for a few days now and its great. I short shift in 1st and 2nd otherwise your RPM needle zips into red line...

My original plan was to run the stage 2 E30 map... but really no need for that at the moment.

I need to start logging and learning how to read logs - there was such good reading material (with examples) for JB4 but nothing obvious with BM3.

CS is the OEM BMW M3/M4 CS map. CS+ is BM3's CS-like map which little bit more top end and torque compared to the CS map. CS < CS+ < Stage1

Roger that!

I think that's the order I will go when I get used to or bored of each map. Haha

I read the previous post about the CS tune being compatible with manual vehicles..

However, it still makes me wonder if it is indeed optimized for the 6-Speed transmission, since the original OEM mapping is designed for the DCT and the Bm3 tune doesn't differentiate the two transmissions.

So to clarify; Bm3 is claiming that it's a one-size-fit-all for the CS tune ?

Yes, that is what I was told.

...which makes sense or else all the other tunes would be tranny specific too

I mean people with MT said it seemed to shift better with the CS tune, for what it's worth.

I want to know this as well.

CS and CS+ tunes run fine with a 6MT?

BM3 is the best bang for the buck. Stage 1 is also very safe, and their tuning improves the drivability of the car in sport plus. No bucking or jumping like stock or other tunes.

You're welcome to reach out if you have any questions!

If your worried about traction, use the marvelous invention called the accelerator pedal. Don’t mash it all the way down. Especially in first and second gear. That’s the primary reason the 100km to 200km time is so popular. Guys use that time all over the world. It basically removes traction issues. I’ve thought about limiting torque in first and second, but decided against it.

Someone else on another thread described stage 1 BM3 on the M2 as like riding a bull on a frozen pond. Dead on balls accurate description. Biggest fun ever. Turning expensive tires into tiny particles of dust!
