The only issue I’m having in the last couple of days is battery charge getting low. No space for the M2 in the garage, so had to keep it parked outside all the time 🥺
Ran into the exact same thing this morning. Didnt drive yesterday, but when I left this morning I had a battery warning.

Driving mine everyday except for the big snow days where I drive my wife's Range Rover Velar due to limited ground clearance that the M2C has.Overall it is a pretty good cold weather car.

Gripes

Pedals are too small to wear proper winter boots so I end up wearing winter shoes.

Small gas tank is an issue with the short range that this car gets when driven for fun.I get close to 500 kms on the highway at 120-130 kms.

Door windows freeze with any kind of moisture till the car gets heated up.

Pros

Car is a blast to throw around on slippery surfaces once you turn the nannies off.

Great car as a everyday commuter work car.I really enjoy driving it.

Yeah I like better pedal feel and touch so for long daily commutes I change into tennis shoes and let my boots dry on the passenger mat

That is why I like trucks for the winter! Changing into boots is nothing but a pain when your driving when you need to be outside for work or play.!

Hi All,

New owner here, looking for a set of winter wheels/tires. Spotted a set off a 15' M5 with the following specs.

Fronts: 9 x 19 with a 32mm offset
Rears: 9 x 19 with a 25mm offset
Tires: 255/40R19

Looking to know if these will work?

Thanks!

A 255/40 will be too tall for fitment on the front.I had a set of 255/35 that rubbed so I had to go to a 245/35 to get clearance using a 8.5 x 19@25p

Off the line traction is okay, not great. Maybe its the setup thats the issue.
A friend of mine has the OEM 235/19 squared setup on his M2C and it performed better when driving up a hill and in deep snow.

Thanks!

It sounds pretty good under load, better than my f30 335i with dinan muffler without the added drone.

I have seen this car on the QEW. Didn't realize it was a comp until I saw the exhaust.

I don't drive mine in the winter...too many rookie winter drivers that have no idea what they are doing in the GTA...also don't want to risk taking out my front lip on a big chunk of wheel-well ice off a truck...happened on my WRX years ago, was like hitting a small child.

Have had mine out and about in the snow. Biggest problem is I live on a hill, so when I come out of the parking garage there’s an immediate incline and no speed built up. Just barely made it, and this was after the plow came by once. I miss my Subaru for winter driving lol.

Haha yes, the exhaust! Maybe its just me but I think my car’s exhaust hangs even lower than normal M2C’s

Ooh, that must have hurt! If I had a front lip installed, I would’ve taken it out getting out off my driveway.

Where did you get your XPEL done? Are you happy with the job? Will be doing it as soon as my car arrives.

I got the xpel and tints done at SRSTints in Mississauga. They did a pretty good job with the xpel. Every nook/corner was covered properly. There were a few really small areas which were, sort-of, not sticking but they fixed it. Their customer service is really good.

I wasn’t too happy with the tint job and my drivers side window tint peeled off but they re-tinted the window.

To be fair, when I got the ppf and tints done, it was -10 that week and I park my car outiside so the weather would’ve been the culprit.

Out today in full glare ice...very dangerous...but with slow going still got around with the traction nannies going off...but they keep you planted and no slip. Still a good winter car!
