Dallas area recs for PPF

Hey all, I'm seriously considering wrapping (protection only) my M2C when it gets in and am looking for Dallas (northern suburb if possible) recommendations. TIA!

I took my last M2 to ForceField in Lewisville. The owner/installer is absolutely obsessive about hiding the wrap with his installs. It was completely invisible.

Pretty sure I’m taking my new M2C to him again, if I decide to wrap.

I went TintWorld in The Colony off 121... friend of a friend, and so far I'm very pleased with the work. Xpel PPF and tint.

Good feedback. I'm going to give him a call and schedule an appt.

I still stand by ForceField as being an awesome option too. Unfortunately, he's booked out until January.

Tintworld, friend of mine and a fellow enthusiast (Lotus Elise owner). He wrapped my 17 M2 back in Oct 2016 and just did another member's 19 HS M2C. I will have him do my 19 M2C when it arrives.

That's who I used. Sounds like we are close to each other... I'm in McKinney.

Picked my car up from there the other day. He did a great job and he's really a cool guy, who just loves cars. Happy to have given him the business.

I'll say that Forcefield's installation was more seamless though, and priced about the same. I don't think Forcefield worked from a template, and it showed. It was the small details...

TintWorld will be able to wrap an M2C in their sleep at this rate.

Does Forcefield use XPEL? Pretty sure Tintworld uses XPEL templates. When you say more seamless do you mean the edges were harder to see?

Yep, they are an Xpel only shop and listed as an official installer.

That’s right. With my last M2 the PPF installed at Forcefield had no visible seem (edges). He took off the side gills and front grills and completely tucked the film. Unless I told you it had film, you’d never know.

With the templates used, it’s obvious with even a cursory look that there is a film and areas unprotected, even if it’s just mm’s on the edges.

Again, not unhappy with Tintworld, but Kevin @ Forcefield is an artist.

Gotcha, Tintworld definitely uses templates so you can see edges but to be honest I don't care about that stuff and I'm not looking at my car from 12 inches away. It's a daily driver BMW not a Mclaren Senna anyway.

True, but when costs are the same... Either way, just pointing it out for those that care.

When I did my 17 M2 the costs with Tintworld were a good bit less than other vendors, not sure what the current market prices are. I've known the owner for quite a few years also so I may have gotten a friend price.

So what is the cost here in the north Dallas burbs from these two vendors? I've read quotes from $1500 to $5000 elsewhere... Honestly never had it done on a car before. Might just opt for a higher end ceramic nano over the film.

I paid around $1600 at both vendors for full front.

Ceramic coat and PPF are for different purposes. Ceramic coat won't stop rock chips.

Fully understand that. Fortunate enough to not have many on my E90 and it's coming up on 8 years old. I'm basically a toll road commuter on DNT and the Bush Turnpike. Plus as others have said, "it's not a Ferrari"...
