No he is just reminding you that there are 'plenty of cars out there that can put the power down and not sound like garbage' so no need to waste breath talking up the CS

I stand by what I said. The S55 sound is the worst part about the car. But now the CS/CSL offers additions that make it a more valuable package, to the point that I’m considering it.

Wheel design: a tad busy 'n boxy.
Look up close, yes maybe a tad busy, but from distance it is clean and stands out. A stunning design IMO.
Earlier this week a BMW wheel design got registered (US Industrial Design) that is strikingly similar to the BMW 2002 Hommage Concept wheels (see this post). Though different: same lines but more V-shaped instead of U-shaped + Y-shape angle is >90° instead of <90°.

AFAIK BMW has not released this wheel design yet. Registration of a design does not imply production, but merely the possibility of future production.

Anyways, won't be for the M2 CS as that model will feature the 763M wheels.

I think those are very similar to the new wheels you can get on the new 3er.

Good eye. Looks like the wheels on the pictured new 3er feature the same design as the one of the BMW 2002 Hommage Concept (except for the added 5 holes next to the wheel nuts).

On the other hand, the design that recently got registered looks similar but features different angles.

I am hoping they are nice and wide (haven't seen the specs) and that they could fit on an M2C.

Especially in all black....with HS.

Chances of an M2 "CSL" and it arriving in the US?

Would love to hear the forum's thoughts on the possibility of a US-bound M2 CSL. Is it going to happen at the end of this generation or is the M2 CS the epitome of the M2 that we'll see on these shores?

The thought of a manual M2 CS sounds pretty tasty so not sure if I should bite the bullet on that or hold a candle for a chance of a M2 CSL, even if it's only available with a DCT... (one of the greatest NA manual cars is already in the garage )

Would they debut all new 2-series models at the same auto show? 2 series grand coup is set for debut at LA auto show. It makes sense for a US only spec M2 to debut in the US. Goodwood makes sense, Pebble Beach, or LA auto show

That's unlikely but I bet a M2C owner would trade in a heartbeat.

Why in the world would they continue to build a track focused car without cut outs for shoulder harnesses....virtually every other brand does this.

Also, if the GT4 is announced in a month and the CSL is no closer to production, I think my decision will be made for me.
I am pretty sure they will both be 6 cylinders. It is mostly Manual or bust.
718 GT4 is as good as ready for launch.
