Shop says I need to repaint ENTIRE bumper... Y or N?
Some jerk hit my car. Shop wants $650 to pull the bumper, and repaint the whole thing.
Is there a cheaper option that will look good? (Don't want to spot paint if it will look like crap) |

I'd try to spot paint it first. If it looks like ass or you don't like it, have them repair the whole thing.
Honestly, it's such a small part, I don't think I would bother with a full res pray. Edit: to clarify, I'd do some light sanding to clean it up and then hit it with some touch up paint. Get some color matched reflectors while you're at it. |

Either way seeing stuff like this drives me I wish people would either appreciate someone's nice ride or ignore it! I really question people's state of mind and mental health when they key someone's car. |

Definitely not!
Find a shop that does S.M.A.R.T. Repair (Small To Medium Area Repair Technique) where they blend into the panel. If it's not dented, and only scuffed you can even attempt the repair yourself. See the bumper scuff repair I did on my G35, and I had no prior body work experience. No bumpers are plastic and you can do a partial on that if they know what they are doing. Most body shops can do a partial like that for about 250-300.

That spot is easily reparable by blending into the bumper. The entire bumper should be wetsanded and cleared to ensure no blend marks in the clear are there. My shop charges about $500 for a job like that.

I did this myself with rattle cans. You don't need to blend the color just the clear coat. Best to blend on a line. You can not see mine. Completely gone.
Cost $100 CN. Printer Color Clear coat Clear coat blender. Wet sandpaper. |
